Showing The Foundation Packs in Splinterlands

In this post I'll expand my Foundation card collection in Splinterlands and choose to buy Foundation packs because they're cheap on the market.

In my posts I like to talk about Arcade Colony, so let's learn a little about this gaming platform.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

There are 4 games in Arcade Colony and they are:

• Splinterlands
• Moon Karts
• StakeHouse Den
• Genesis League Goals

My focus is on Splinterlands and Moon Karts because in my opinion they are the most fun and profitable.

Remember that this is not an investment tip, do your research on these games before investing.

Let's continue talking about Foundation Packs in Splinterlands.

To get a Foundation Pack in Splinterlands you need to be in the Gold League in the Frontier format or buy them in the in-game market.

I'm not yet in the Gold League in the Frontier format so I'm going to buy some Foundation Packs to open.

Go to the SHOP option and then to Card Packs, choose the Foundation option and you will be directed to the page where Foundation Packs are sold.

The price of Foundation Packs has dropped a lot in recent weeks and for this reason I am buying them to expand my Foundation Cards.

As I write this post, each Foundation pack costs 116 DEC, and that's a great price for those who want to get Foundation Cards in the game.

I chose to buy 4 packs and spent 466 DEC in total.

When opening Foundation packs, I always use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions.

• The Alchemy potion increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards in the packs.

• The Legendary potion increases your chances of getting Legendary cards in the packs.

Each card consumes 1 Alchemy potion and 1 Legendary potion, so for each pack you will need 5 Alchemy potions and 5 Legendary potions.

I only got 1 Gold Foil card, and it's not valuable. I also didn't get any legendary or epic cards, but my goal is to evolve my current Foundation Cards, so it's not a bad result.

First, I'm going to evolve all my Foundation Cards to the maximum level, thus improving my performance in the Frontier format, and then, when I'm in the Gold League, I'll start making a profit by opening or selling the Foundation packs I've acquired.
