Showing the BlazeBeard Merc in Action on the Battlefield

In this post I'll talk about the Blazebeard Merc card; it will be a great ally when it comes to dealing a lot of damage while spending little mana.

In my posts I like to talk about Arcade Colony, so let's learn a little about this game platform.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

There are 4 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

My main focus is on Splinterlands and Moon Karts because in my opinion they are the most fun and profitable games.

Remember that this is not an investment tip, always do your research on these games before investing in them.

Let's continue talking about the Blazebeard Merc card in Splinterlands.

The Blazebeard Merc is an epic card from the Rebellion edition and you can use it in a fire deck. As I mentioned before, the Blazebeard Merc is a great option when it comes to dealing a lot of damage while spending little mana, and I say this because you only need to spend 3 mana to use it in battle and its melee attack is powerful.

There are two advantages to using the Blazebeard Merc in battle:

  • It has a lot of armor, so it will also be a great defense and won't be easily defeated against melee and ranged attacks.

  • It has the Charge ability.

  • It has the Bloodlust ability.

There are two disadvantages to using the Blazebeard Merc in battle:

  • It has low health, so it can be easily defeated against magic attacks.
  • It has the Incendiary ability.

You're probably wondering about the Charge ability, the Bloodlust ability, and the Incendiary ability, so let's learn about these abilities.

Charge

Can use melee attacks from any position.

Incendiary

At the beginning of round 2 and each following round, applies Burning. Burning has a 33% chance to spread to either adjacent unit at the beginning of each round, then all Burning units lose 2 health. Burning can be cleansed.

Because it's a powerful card, Blazebeard Merc needs a major weakness, and that's the Incendiary ability, but this ability isn't a big problem as long as the battle ends quickly.

Bloodlust

+1 to all stats after dealing a killing blow.

Blazebeard Merc also has one more ability, which is the Piercing ability.

Piercing

Damage in excess of the target's armor is applied to health.

Let's take a look at Blazebeard Merc on the battlefield.

BATTLE

This is the type of battle where Blazebeard Merc is a perfect choice because it dealt a lot of damage and the battle only lasted 2 rounds.

To help Blazebeard Merc overcome its weakness against magic attacks, I used the summoner spell Fithe Bladestone. This summoner spell grants the Void ability to Dwarf-type cards like Blazebeard Merc.

My opponent barely had a chance to react in this battle, and I emerged victorious without losing any of my cards.
