She is a fashion designer (the only thing she still has as a source of livelihood), she was a garri distributor processed by yours truly (the family), and she was also a distributor of oil, palm oil. I remember one time when I wanted to pay for my first W.A.E.C (West African Examination Council) because I wrote the Examination twice, that day my mum just went into her storage picked up one keg (25 litres ) of palm oil took it to the market and my WAEC fee was paid that was how easy life was, my mum also has palm tree plantation so large that it takes 3-4 days to harvest the palm fruits that is how large the farm land was, she had all the equipment for processing the palm fruits into palm oil although she started manually and with time she was able to afford machines that could literally do everything you just have to supervise it.
She was also a major distributor of fufu (fermented cassava), and we were her delivery guys. My mum literally made sure we were all soaked in and knew every bit about her business, so it was easy for everyone. Aside from her being a fashion designer, she still sells and distributes clothes to retailers. She goes to a popular market called Onitsha market and buys her goods, and then comes back home, and her goods would be sent down to our house 😭😭😭. I miss those days. Then there was the poultry business, there was turkey and chicken in the business, it was like a conglomerate. I went to the best primary school then, and at some point, one of the best secondary schools in town. My mum could literally afford anything we wanted, or so I thought. I was so sure that when I grow up and I'm ready to go into the university, I would either attend Babcock or Covenant University both in Nigeria or I would study outside Nigeria, Benin Republic to be precise but look at where I am now, just graduated from the grea Niger Delta University in Bayelsa state.
It all started with a phone call and things started deteriorating, if I was told life would end up like this I would not believe, I would even believe that a pig could fly than believe that life would end like this. It's so sad but we keep pushing and thank God for life. In life we do not pray for bad things to happen but never say never.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you soon. 🤗

Hi sis,
Well for a cup one calls half-empty another can chooses to call it half-full.
It's two different mentalities for same cup.
🤔
Cheers
Life they say is not always a bed of roses. I admire your mother's resilience. She is a true definition of hustler.
Yeah, me too I admire her a lot
Thank you 😊
I'm sure things would spring back up as long as life remains. And as long as your parents built from scratch... They will find their way back up again.
Life is full of ups and downs, someone things get tough. I guess the economy at large in the country contributed to it. Trust me, everybody is feeling the hit.
But we keep praying and believing that things will get better.
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your kind words 💖
Your mum is a fighter ohhh
Many times when I wonder why my mum falls sick a lot, I remember the days when she was still younger and worked too hard for my siblings and I to grow this big
Good one from that perspective.
Anything can happen at any time and such is what life entails.
Expecting the unexpected is a thematic illustration of life.
Yeah it really is, thank you for stopping by
Mother's are rare gems. You just can't deny that. God bless them.
Amen 🙌 God bless them
Life can be hard sometimes, no doubts, but what matters is how we keep our heads high and keeping pushing.
You have a good mother. Not all mothers will be this loving to their kids like your mum
You make me remember when I was still living with my elder sister. Things were rosy for them, and the only challenge then was that I didn't know which university to pick. The money was there, and I could go to any country of my choice. But if one were to tell me that all of the riches would go down the drain, I wouldn't believe it.
Most times we don't always expect the things we see. But life will always go on regardless.
Life will fit sure go on regardless, but my point is. Where did all the money go?
You made me shed tears. Even if it was an irony. Your story hit me hard. Wow great job. And your mom also did great as a fighter.
Aww 😍. Yeah she's still a fighter 💪
Like. Mum did all that? God bless her.
What happened with the phone call and how did things get to change that much.
Till this day I don't know what that phone call was but one by one my dad's vehicles started disappearing mum too had to sell off her machines and farm lands 😔
That’s seriously serious 😔. I pray we the younger generations become great in life and pay back for all they had done for us.
