"Ada, come see this." Ada gasps at her friend. They were both from two different worlds, just like water that couldn't mix up.
They never agreed on anything. Meet Kristi, the big mouth; she was a dark-skinned girl, slender, and with the most gorgeous curves. Her life was the life of a party. She enjoyed partying so much, unlike Ada, who was always held over by life. She took life so seriously.
Back then, when they were in college, Kristi spent all her nights going to night parties while Ada was buried down in her book reading, and the most ridiculous part of it.
Kristi always makes her As more than Ada, who was too conservative. Apart from their academic pursuits, Ada never engages in anything else apart from study and the daily hustle.
After graduation, they both decided to live together.
Ada became a writer and always stuck up at the computer morning and night, while Kristi became a lawyer.
"I think I love the red strapless gown," Kristi added. Ada gasped at her."Why not choose something that can cover you up?" Ada added, bridging her eyes through the glasses at the display of clothes on Kristi's phone.
She was confused about which dress to pick and needed Ada's suggestion."Oh, I forgot you are still the Virgin Mary, '' Kristi said sarcastically.
"You know you should actually get a life outside the forerooms of this bedroom." She uses her hands to demonstrate. Ada tried to talk but was cut short by Kristi.
"When was the last time you went outside? Yes, I remember grocery shopping, right?. When was the last time a boy stopped you? You are just in here wasting all this beauty."
Ada knew her roommate was telling the truth, but she just couldn't help. She was scared of the world, and coupled with her parent's bad experiences, she just couldn't feel like socializing anymore.
"Let me guess you're 26 this year, and my wedding is like four months from now. I guess you want to die single and lonely," Kristi added.
Even though Kristi was getting married in the next few months, she just couldn't put her life to a halt. She was an all-round girl. When it comes to parties, you will find her there. She took her phone and pressed a few buttons.
"Done; you are coming along with me. I won't take no for an answer." Ada's mouth was left half open, and no words were coming out. She knew her roommate as one who wasn't taking a no for an answer. She gasped as Kristi dragged her legs towards the door.
She stopped at her steps and turned. "The party is in the next two days. And yeah, I ordered those two gowns for the both of us." Ada was stunned but sat looking at Kristi, who didn't care. Ada believed in investment.
She had successfully built a shopping mob and an eatery from the money she made through her writing and was currently building a house for her parents while Kristi could boost a Range Rover sport. Kristi's money flooded down to parties, get-togethers, and events. She was a fan of all.
"I don't think I can wear this; it's so uncomfortable and tight," Ada lamented to her friend while they both dressed up for the party. She wore a strapless peach gown that stopped at her knees; it hugged her curves perfectly well.
."There is nothing wrong with this gown. See how perfect it looks on you. Guys will be looking back every minute." Ada looked down on the dress; she just couldn't see what her roommate was seeing.
"This is a no-no," Kristi said, taking off Ada's round glasses and taking her to a chair in front of the mirror.
"Sit down; let me be beautiful." Kristi brought out her makeup kit, styling and waxing Ada, giving her a beautiful glam.
"Check this out, a pro in what she knows how to do best." Kristi praised herself, even though she might not be appreciated by Ada. After a few minutes, they were already at the venue of the event. It was a birthday party for one of Kristi's friends.
Ada felt so uncomfortable in the strapless gown; it wasn't her style of dressing. She believed in covering up her body appropriately. She didn't like the attention she drew to herself, as Kristi wasn't close enough to defend her whenever most guys came around for small talk.
"Hey, beautiful!" One of the guys approached.
"Are you new? I haven't seen you around."
"Oh, I came with my friend Kristi."
"Oh, Kristi. I'm Daniel, by the way."
"Ada. Nice to meet you."
That became a beautiful beginning for Ada, who became romantically entangled with Daniel.
"Cheers to many more years together!"
Ada and Kristi both seem like they could learn things from one another. Kristi could learn how to better manage her money, while Ada can come out of her shell. WOW, having friends like Kristi can make life fun and interesting. It's a nice thing she had a friend like Kristi who brought her out of her shadows and she met Daniel.
Lol, she really brought out of her shell

Despite how uncomfortable the girl felt, this gave rise to her meeting a new love, where she least expected them.
Thanks for sharing your story.
Good day.
I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for stopping by
This your story seems so realistic and I love it for that. Ada should be thanking Kristi for forcefully taking her out. She has found love through it. Isn't that beautiful?
Thank you 😊
Ada is still grateful though
