Today is Saturday and it is the last day for the month of October. My husband and I spent part of our day at Estevez Memorial Hospital for annual medical checkup. We make it a point to have our basic laboratory tests done every year because we believe that taking care of our health should always be a priority. It is also our way of being more aware of our overall health condition and making sure that everything is doing well.

As part of our routine, we undergo several basic tests, including a complete blood chem, urinalysis, chest x-ray, and other necessary examinations recommended by the doctor. Although we sometimes get busy with our daily responsibilities, we try our best not to skip these annual checkups. After all, prevention is always better than cure, and knowing our health status give us peace of mind.

We chose Estevez Memorial Hospital because it is one of the accredited hospitals under our HMO provider, iCare. Having an HMO is truly a big help, especially when it comes to medical consultations and laboratory examinations. Most of these expenses are covered by the health benefits, which means we do not have to worry too much about the costs.

This is actually one of the advantages of working in a private company, just like my husband does, where employees are provided with HMO benefits. It is a valuable privilege that helps make healthcare more accessible for the family. Thankfully the hospital’s process was quite smooth. After around an hour of waiting, we were able to have our consultation with the doctor and complete the necessary examinations.

For now, we are just waiting for our laboratory results. Hopefully, everything turns out well! It was a simple Saturday activity, but one that reminds us that good health is one of the most important investments we can make for ourselves and our family.

And that’s it for today’s blog! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my simple life story. This means a lot to me. I hope to see you on my next one. Have a nice day ahead to all of us!β˜ΊοΈπŸ’•

Such a wise and practical post! Regular annual checkups are so important for long-term health. It’s great that you both prioritize health and take advantage of HMO benefits. Wishing you both good health!
