My Hive Goals for 2025, The Week in Review for Dec. 20, 2025

I can't believe it Saturday already, it always comes around so fast each week. This morning has been a little chilly around here so I was wearing a sweat shirt when I headed out to the local garage sales today. I was lucky to find a couple decent items that I should be able to flip for a profit, so I always call that a good start to the day!

The biggest score was a pair of women's Nike athletic shoes, size 6.5, and never used. They were asking $30, I offered $20 and they took it! I promptly listed them on eBay for $60 and they sold almost right away. So you can see I'm packing them up for shipment as I snapped a couple pictures to post here. I was thrilled, usually women's shoes sit for months before they sell. I may have set my selling price too low, but I'll take $40 profit today over $60 months from now!

I'll save the other item for another post...

On Saturday I devote the post towards Saturday Savers, a community here on Hive where you set a primary and secondary savings goal for the year. I was able to meet both of mine this year! The first was to reach 10K HP which was done some time ago, and the second to reach 50K staked PIMP tokens which I also finished up. Now time to think about next year!

But today I'll go over some second layer tokens and precious metals that I'm excited about at the moment. I have to admit that most of the second layer tokens have pretty much turned me off lately and I've sold off most of them. Some I do still believe in and continue to either hold or increase my stake.

GIFU

I am continuing to pick up some GIFU in the form of SWAP.GIFU ever since the project was taken over by @trumpman and the keys changed after the handover from Ray. It is based on the BNB chain with a 10% tax per purchase that is burned thus decreasing supply. The SWAP.GIFU is also subject to frequent burns so over time the supply will continue to diminish.

If this project ever picks up some half decent steam behind it it could turn profitable pretty quickly, but then again it might never happen. It's a gamble, but with my good friend at the helm it's gamble I'm willing to take! If you don't mind rolling the dice this might be the token for you!

TGLD

I'm continuing to hold my TGLD staked in my wallet and have been very happy with the returns so far. At first they were okay, but now the APR has climbed to 17.5% for the base token without the presale bonus. That means I'm currently getting just over 29% APR paid daily in the form out HBD. People who buy and stake now will be earning 17.5% which is better than the HBD rate right now. And to be honest I expect the HBD rate will soon be dropping to 10 to 12% in the near future to battle Hive inflation. So I'm happy with my purchase!

There has been some wild price action on the token over the last day. Some were bought at 39 Hive each and some small chunks at 199 Hive each. The price jumped up and then dropped massively when the buy at 39 happened! lol Right now the least expensive TGLD offer is at 299 Hive per token. Talk about wild prices!

If you are looking to buy in now you might have to have some patience to get better prices or pay a steep premium...

Other Hive Engine Tokens

I am continuing to pile up my PIMP tokens, it's a great project run by @enginewitty , a cool cat and solid guy. Right now I have just about 63K staked and on my way to 100K! PIMP is backed by physical silver and BTC so it's always going to have value.

I am continuing to delegate to EDSI to earn EDSI tokens every week. I also continue to hold onto my DBOND and DAB tokens, staked DAB produces more DBOND and staked DBOND more DAB. I'm continue to hold onto my PAKX which I feel is a very solid project as well, and provides me with two tip call a day which I enjoy. I do delegate to Leo to earn some LEO tokens, I'm stacking them up for now as they do have a deflationary model now. Hopefully it pays off down the line.

And of course, I continue to pick up some more DUO tokens on a regular basis, and it's my favorite token of them all! It pays daily dividends, allows tipping, and curations on quality posts. Of course I may be a bit biased as I help create it...

Precious Metals

This post is running a bit long, so I'll keep this part brief. Silver continues it's tear past $67 per Troy ounce, on it's way to $70 by Christmas is my prediction! It's suffering from massive shortages and can't be refined fast enough to meet demand. And don't forget it's used in just about all your electronic devices as it has a huge industrial usage as well. If you don't yet invest in silver you should start, it's never too late and you don't have to be rich to do so!

Gold continues to show strength maintaining prices near $4,350. That's only $50 shy of the all time high and it will surely be tested again in the near future. It's a smart move to invest here as well too, people have been doing it since the dawn of time and today is no different!

Gold and silver are real money that will always have value. It's a very smart investment, and everyone should have their own personal stack. If you don't yet have one, start small and keep investing as often as possible. Soon you will have an impressive stack of precious metals that increase your personal net worth and can be passed onto your children!
