Happy New Year! Gold Chess Rook for 2026, HPUD, Silver and Gold Still Looking Strong
Happy New Year everyone! Here's to hoping for a better year this time around as far as crypto prices go, it was rough last year... I hope you all are enjoying you New Year's Day so far and that you had a safe evening last night.
To kick off the New Year I thought it might be fun to share a new coin for sale from the Chess series produced by the island nation of Niue. This year the coin is the Rook, or the tower on the chess board for those who don't play chess. Once again they have produced a really pretty gold coin that is accented with platinum overlays for highlights. The only downside about the series is the portrait on the front, nothing against King Charles personally, but I like the Niue state seal on the coins much more than the monarch.

About the coin:
These coins will not be inexpensive, I have only found one in gold that was up for sale and sold immediately for $6,500. They are only going to produce 99 of these so they will sell out relatively quickly and become much more valuable in just a couple of years time. They are also produced in silver but they aren't nearly as pretty, but sell for around $190. Also not cheap considering the price of silver is $71.50. However, the resale value on these tends to be very high on eBay!

All of these coins are very hard to find and rarely come up for sale in gold. Silver ones do come up for sale but often with asking prices in excess of $300. So investing in one of these new Rooks in gold or silver will likely be a safe bet to make some money down the road!
Hive Power Up Day
I very nearly forgot that it was HPUD as it was the holiday. I have been on a two year streak so I figured I should keep it alive by at least powering up the minimum ten for this months Power Up Day:
Gold and Silver
Both gold and silver are continuing to hang on not too far below the record prices set this past week. Silver supplies are going to be getting even tighter now that China has put restrictions in place on the export of silver. They are the world's largest silver producer and by cutting back supplies for their own national interests it will drive prices ever higher. Silver was already in short supply, but now things could get really interesting over the next month or so. I wouldn't be surprised to see silver at $100 by Saint Patrick's Day in March , if not sooner.
Gold also is also in relatively short supply as governments, corporations and individuals are all buying to protect against world instability. Not to mention the world's economy is teetering on recession. Gold will very likely surpass $5,000 per Troy ounce in the not too distant future.

If you don't yet invest in silver or gold, it's a New Year and a great time start. Buy even a small amount with every paycheck you get and keep stacking it up. Soon you will have a nice stash of precious metals that will increase your personal wealth, and can be passed onto your children to maintain intergenerational wealth. Your kids will thank you for it!

I sure like seeing the 100 Dollars as the Face Value on the One Once Gold Coin… It tells me plenty… Plus minting 99 is a clue to the 99 Decimal Cents I keep mentioning about the 99 Decimal Cents in U.S. Electronic Gold Coinage…
They're hard to find on the secondary market, no one wants to part with them!
