Today I'm going to talk about the Naga Fire Wizard card in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of learning about the game.
I've mentioned several times how much of a fan I am of cards from older editions, and the Naga Fire Wizard was one of the ones I used most in my fire deck when I had a lot of mana available in battle.

This is the Naga Fire Wizard, it's a Reward Card from the Beta edition and belongs to the Fire Deck. The reason I like the Naga Fire Wizard card is because it has the Thorns ability, and for that reason it's a great option to position in the last slot.
To better understand this strategy, let's look at the abilities of the Naga Fire Wizard.
****The Naga Fire Wizard has 2 abilities****: Shield and Thorns.

Shield: 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.
It's very common to find melee and ranged cards in battles, so the Shield ability will be very useful in battle.

Thorns: Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.
This ability is the terror of melee cards in Splinterlands and also the reason I like Naga Fire Wizard in my strategies.
My strategy for Naga Fire Wizard is to use it in the last position, and in this way it will be a great ally against melee cards that have the Sneak ability.
Now let's go to the practical part and see how Naga Fire Wizard performs in battle.

In this battle I can clearly show how Naga Fire Wizard in this position is a great defense and also a great option for dealing damage. It wasn't an entirely easy battle, and the only reason I won was because I had the Naga Fire Wizard on my side, so it's a great example of how a single card can change the entire course of a battle.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
