Currently, there are many powerful new cards in Splinterlands since I started playing in 2022, but I'm still a big fan of cards from older editions, especially the Untamed edition. Today I'm going to talk about one of the summoners I used to use the most and still use: Mimosa Nightshade.
Join me on this brief journey of knowledge in Splinterlands.

Mimosa Nightshade is a legendary summoner from the Death deck, and she will be a great ally when facing monsters with ranged and spell attacks. She will also be very useful against monsters with healing abilities.
There are 3 advantages to using Mimosa Nightshade: reducing the ranged attack of enemy monsters by -1, giving the Void ability to your allied monsters, and applying Afflicted to enemy monsters.
Now let's learn more about the advantages of Mimosa Nightshade.
Reducing the ranged attack of enemy monsters by -1 means that monsters with ranged attacks will lose 1 attack point, and their attack value cannot be less than 1. Therefore, if a monster only has 1 ranged attack, it will not be affected by this debuff.

Void: This ability causes monsters to receive only 50% damage against magic attacks, which makes a big difference in battle if your opponent has cards with magic attacks.

Affliction: 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.
Mimosa Nightshade does not have a 50% chance to apply this effect, it applies it directly to monsters with a 100% chance, so it will be very helpful against enemy monsters or summoners with healing abilities.
The main reason I like the Untamed edition is because it produced several powerful summoners back then, and they're still very powerful today. You've probably seen Yodin Zaku or Byzantine Kitty in your battles; another famous one is Mylor Crowling. Each of these summoners made me feel a lot of joy and anger in the past because many of my opponents also used them.
The price of Untamed cards is currently much lower than it used to be, which is great news for me, but my focus is still on Chaos Legion cards because they are much cheaper and there are also great cards in that edition. In the future, I'll try to get some of the summoners from the Untamed edition.
Now let's see how Mimosa Nightshade really performs in battles in Splinterlands.

This was an exciting battle, and my opponent shared my strategy of using monsters with low speed because of the Reverse Speed rule in the battle.
The battle rules are: Collateral Damage, Up to Eleven and Reverse Speed.

Collateral Damage: All units have Reckless.

Up to Eleven: All units have Amplify (increases damage of Retaliate and all Punishment abilities—Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns—by 1; does not stack).

Reverse Speed: Units with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance to evade attacks.
I hate the Collateral Damage rule, but with this strategy I managed to survive it. The only certainty I have is that when the Reverse Speed rule exists, I always use monsters with low speed.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
