When I first started playing Splinterlands, one of the rewards was the Chaos Legion Reward Cards, and I remember how expensive those cards were compared to current Reward Cards.
One of my favorite Reward Cards back then was the Venari Wavesmith, and I remember it cost $5. That was a great price to earn money since the Venari Wavesmith was just a Rare Card, and you could get it for free by completing Daily Quests or Seasonal Rewards.
There were many other Reward Cards back then; I mentioned the Venari Wavesmith because it was very popular at the time.
Today I'm going to talk about another Reward Card, and that card is the Exploding Rats, a card that seems weak but that I liked to use in my Fire Deck strategies.

This is the Exploding Rats, a card that has a major disadvantage: it only has 1 HP. It might seem crazy to use it in battle, but it's fun and it can be useful.
My strategy for Exploding Rats is to use it in the first position, and since it has a large amount of attack speed, it has a good chance of dodging physical attacks.
The main reason I use Exploding Rats is because it has 3 great abilities: Blast, Redemption, and True Strike.

Blast: Deals an additional 50% damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target.
This is a great ability to deal more damage to your opponent.

Redemption: When defeated, deals 1 physical damage to all enemy units.
Another great ability to deal more damage to your opponent.

True Strike: Attacks will never miss.
This is one of my favorite abilities in Splinterlands because I hate missing attacks.
Currently, I rarely use Exploding Rats in my battles, but I like to use it when the battle rules Equalizer, Super Sneak, and Maneuvers apply.

I'll use this battle as an example because it uses the Maneuvers rule, but unfortunately, my opponent used a card with the Thorns ability in the first position, so my strategy didn't work very well with Exploding Rats. However, it was still useful dealing damage with the Blast ability and the Redemption ability.
The real star of the battle was Coeurl Lurker; honestly, this is my favorite card in Splinterlands, and I can't count how many times I've won a battle because of a card.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

Nice strategy! Using a fragile card like Exploding Rats in front is risky but clever—do you think its abilities consistently make up for the 1 HP drawback?
