A Powerful Attack Using Little Mana

(edited)

Today I'm going to talk about the Azmare Harpoonist card, so join me on this journey of knowledge in Splinterlands.

The Azmare Harpoonist is a card that new Splinterlands players will rarely see in battles because it's not commonly used; I say this because it's very rare for me to see someone using this card.

This is the Azmare Harpoonist, an epic card from the Untamed edition and belonging to the Water deck. Honestly, I don't use it frequently in my battles, but I used to really like using it because it was a great option.

The main advantages of using the Azmare Harpoonist are its powerful attack and low mana cost. On the other hand, it has disadvantages such as low health and attack speed.

The Azmare Harpoonist has 3 abilities: Snare, Knock Out, and Piercing.

In my opinion, I don't particularly like these abilities, but let's learn how they work.

Snare: 100% chance to hit and apply Snared to targets with Flying. Snared units lose all bonuses from Flying.

Cards with the Flying ability are very annoying to face, so having the Snare ability is good news, especially when there's an Earthquake rule in the battle.

Knock Out: Deals double damage if the target is Stunned.

This is one of the abilities that I don't find very useful, but with the right combination it can be a great ally.

Piercing: Damage in excess of the target's armor is applied to health.

In my opinion, this is the most useful ability of Azmare Harpoonist because the armor helps a lot in battles.

When it comes to dealing damage, Azmare Harpoonist is a great option, but otherwise I don't think it's a very good card to have in battles.

Now let's see how Azmare Harpoonist can be useful in battles.

Watch The Battle

That was a risky battle to use Azmare Harpoonist because I didn't have much mana available, but in the end it worked out because I was the victorious one.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

Nice breakdown of a unique card! Do you think Azmare Harpoonist is underrated, or just too situational to be part of most strategies?
