Cool new updates on Leofinance

Hello Lions!

I hope all of you are having an awesome day those who are awake and browsing the internet must have seen the quick spike in the cryptocurrency market happening right now. During the last 24 hours, bitcoin has jumped 7% in its price and is about to touch 28,000 very soon but the highest growth has been seen by bitcoin cash (bch) which is currently 17% up and the highest among the top 100 cryptocurrencies right now. This all happening because a crypto firm named Grayscale has recently won a court appeal against the securities and exchange commission (sec). The happiness is not just limited to BTC or BCH holders but is been spreading across the crypto-verse and our hive has also been touched by this sudden uptrend. Currently, Hive is also experiencing a growth in its price and trading right now almost near 0.3$ again and I hope this trend continues until we again go back to Hive at 0.35$ at least but only time can tell if that is going to happen.

Anyway, let me now move forward as in this post, I will be discussing some updates and changes that have been introduced to the Leo UI recently and I like them. It is a sin to doubt the developers and minds working behind Leofinance as they deliver us beyond our expectations every time. I was away from my PC for a couple of days for a vacation back to my hometown. But just after 3-4 days when I came back and was browsing LeoThreads, my eyes got stuck with these cool new updates that they already introduced in the system. I was wondering if they get to rest at all or if they are even humans or AIs working behind Leo eh? I have interacted with a lot of projects but the team Leofinance has is just phenomenal. However, now without bragging anymore about them.. let us move on with the updates that I liked.

Promoted posts

The First update that I am going to point out here is the promoted threads, as Leo has revamped the advertisement style in threads and this update caught my eye first. Just recently Leo has introduced the LeoAds feature on threads which will generate a good income on the website and the team also stated that the earnings generated from displaying Ads on the website will be used to buy back Leo which would help in its price appreciation. The thread users will also get incentivized by how many views they are getting in their threads and this is completely different from the existing voting mechanism. All of us liked this new update as not only did it generate extra income for us but also helped Leo on the other hand with extra cash flow. Today as I opened Leothreads UI, I found out that the old style of displaying Ads has been changed and now Ads are being displayed as normal threads with pictures. To be honest this is looking more convenient to me. In the old approach, we would see glittery gifs placed within two threads and they could be easily identified as ads, respecting human psychology, most of us would ignore seeing them just after identifying them as ads. But with this new update, Ads are just being displayed like threads so even before we can identify them, we would have read the ad completely, a nice move I would say and it also looks cooler than before. One easy way to identify them is to look for the username if a badge or tag is saying ‘promoted’ just after the name as you can see from the real example that I shared above.

Threads Counter

The second update that I like is the activity counter on the profile page of Leo UI. When you browse the profile tab in Leofinance, you will see an addition just below the follower / following section where they have added 3 new counters for - the total number of threads, Threads replied and Threads voted. Looking at the numbers of my own, I can say these counters represent Lifetime numbers, which means it calculates them since you started using UI, which is marvelous as we can now easily look for our lifetime interactions in a blink. This little update adds a utility without making things more complex, so I am really loving it and also thinking of increasing the numbers by a bit over the next few days. Another update that I would like to mention here is the Live update feature in Threads. This will update replies of a thread every 5 seconds and it will indeed help us with our convos in a certain thread in an organized manner. You just simply activate it by clicking on the Love Update button as I found out but haven't tested it yet myself. If you have any knowledge on this please let me know in the comments below.

LeoFlow

The last update that I am talking about here is not from the official tram but. Rather from a fellow user @thorkellnft who just made our lives simpler by creating an awesome tool. He has made a website called LeoFlow where we can just search for a Leoglossary keyword just by searching and copying the code with just one click. Now, if you have been posting long-form content in Leofinance, you should have been using and adding these Leoglossary hyperlinks to make your posts more SEO friendly. But browsing the whole Library and copying every single leoglossary word separately every time was a real pain in the ass till now. I even thought for some time to arrange the most used Leoglossary words in a post with easy-to-copy links just behind them to just make it easier and quicker to apply them in posts. But with this new amazing tool, it just got a lot easier to apply leoglossary links in my post and I would suggest you all check it out and try using it if you haven’t already. Thanks x 3000 to the creator of this tool @thorkellnft and for making our lives easier, really appreciate your time and effort after this useful project.
