Welcome to this week’s RUNE guessing game! After reaching an impressive high of $7.56 on December 9th, RUNE is now in the midst of a correction, trading below $6. The sudden drop has left the community speculating about the next move. Will this be a brief pullback before a recovery, or should we brace ourselves for a deeper dip?
The correction might feel discouraging, especially following weeks of strong momentum that brought RUNE to its recent highs. However, market corrections often pave the way for healthier long-term growth, shaking out weaker hands and setting the stage for stronger support levels. The question now is whether this marks the end of the recent rally or just a temporary pause before RUNE regains its upward trajectory.
Thorchain’s fundamentals remain strong, with growing adoption of its decentralized exchange and the ongoing impact of its deflationary burn mechanism. Yet, the broader market sentiment and BTC’s movements will also play a critical role in determining RUNE’s near-term direction.

The Rules.
- provide your tip of the RUNE Price in US$ (Format $X.XX) with two decimals as a comment until Saturday 23:59 CET
- only one tip per account allowed per individual user; multi-account-users shall only comment with one account, multiple comments lead to disqualification
- the tip that is closest to the reference price will win the weekly price
- if there are two tips equally near to the winning value, the one that is given earlier is the winning one
- a tip that is precisely on the spot with the reference price will win the Jackpot
- the reference price will be taken from Coingecko; (see the following reference)
and rounded to two decimals - prices are transferred directly to the winning account before publishing the next weekly post
- winners are announced in the respective section of the next game post
