I've done a lot of growing since I started using LeoFinance. Here's how I did it.
I started on Steemit way back in the day and I was writing the most cringe-worthy content. About a year ago I committed to coming back and making something of myself here. I came back around the time Hive was born then after a long hiatus, I came back again. I quit my job, opened a business, and decided I was going to make the absolute most out of this thing. One thing you'll notice when you're a newbie around here is that it starts very slow. Rant time.
You can set goals for your growth all day long and try to hold your self accountable to them. The fact of it is that nothing is guaranteed. If you put your heart into it and create content that you think is great, odds are someone else is going to think the same. Don't half-ass it.
There's another side of growing on Hive is making sure you engage with the community. I found a niche that I fit really well into with LeoFinance and have seen the most growth on my account since going over there. Engaging in crypto, NFT, and finance topics is where I have a lot of fun.
There have been days lately where I only have the chance to get one good post out. Where I never fall short is commenting. Since the LeoFinance mobile app came out and push notifications hit, it became second nature. I check my phone, see that there's a notification which is pretty frequent, and I hop right in. Just commenting on posts will help your account growth tremendously. Comments are posts too, and if you're trying to stack up some extra tokens on top of your posting and curation... It may be small but it adds up.
Not only do you have the opportunity to capture votes from larger account, but you also have the opportunity to get to know the community. The more active we are, the more new users we will attract. Not only that, but I've made some actual friendships here. Hell, I've started working on a couple projects and joined a couple teams... You might have noticed my work on the @lbi-token account.
I feel like this is invaluable growth alongside account growth. In 30 days, I've earned 809 HP just by creating content and commenting. This may not be a lot in terms of USD, but to me, it's huge. I'm not looking at the dollar value here. I'm building something that's going to be continuous income.
I'm determined to hit Dolphin status within a couple months. I think it's somewhere around 5000 HP. I'm also focused on increasing my LEO stake to the 5000 level. Those are my short term goals. So even a small vote on my comment adds up. Even my small votes voting on other's comments adds up. The key is consistency. Make sure there's never a day where you don't at least write some comments.
It's the easiest way to earn when you're not able to post. People will start to remember you. My last advice for growth on the platform is jumping into the Discord. The LeoFinance Discord is my home, and I love hanging out there at this point. You also get sneak peaks at stuff and hints about what's coming on the platforms. You might even get opportunities to be parts of different projects that are emerging, or even projects that are already thriving. It's kinda cringey to say it but it kinda makes sense... Your network is your net worth. Get involved with people doing what you want to do.
Hive is a lot more than just a blogging platform. Treat it as such and you will succeed. I'm no expert, I'm just speaking from experience. It is what you make it.
If you're feeling lost, discouraged, or just want to get your content in front of some fresh eyes - I invite you to join @dreemport where you can get fresh eyes on your content every day. Not only will you see new people's work you may not have otherwise come across, you will get other people seeing your work. AND, you can earn some DREEM tokens. Multiple wins just like @dreemsteem loves.

I just went and read some of your early Steemit content.
No worse than mine ;)
By the way, what happened to SmartCash haha?
Man I got smoked on that thing, but all a good learning experience.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh man I can't even imagine the level of cringe you went through with it. I can't even bring myself to read my old stuff lol.
SmartCash got decimated. I ran nodes and then a couple super nodes... Lost a shit ton of money after making a decent amount with it. Got the Bitcoin Confidential airdrop which went to 0 pretty quick but I was running a node for it for a while.
I learned a lot and got completely rekt.

This is one of the best write ups I've seen that has really motivated me to keep doing what I'm doing because it's adding up just that it's too little for me to see.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, especially with me, I truly appreciate your motivation 🤗.
All the best in achieving your goals dear.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Glad you found it motivational! That was the goal. Small accounts are the whales of the future. Just keep grinding, keep engaging, and get involved with communities.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Sure, I'll do just that, thanks for the advice.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
First of all, beautiful picture. Nothing touches the soul like sprouts :)
Second: Badass goals my friend! I’m working my way towards the same, but currently focused on the 2k marker. I’ve been bringing HBD Savings up to target, then following suit with HP before starting the cycle over…just got my HP over 1k yesterday :).
That’s an exciting target you’re after - I don’t plan on being too far behind you ;)
Great that you are growing. The second goal always happens faster than the first. I'll probably power up more as the price lowers. I haven't been great about that. But my HBD is making me happy.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
HBD is making everyone happy at 20% native and 40% when bridged to pHBD-USDC on PolyCUB.

Thanks a lot for your support, my friend. Just stick to your plan. Be consistent. Do exactly what you're doing.
Congrats on 1k HP! 5k will happen way faster.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hell yeah man, I love following Hive goals.
I agree, I do think it will go faster as it compounds - and also, because time flies when youre having fun :)

I’m yet to start saving in Hbd on chain. Last time I did that was when it was 12%APY. I honestly can’t wait to set targets just as you’ve done. Well done.
Posted using LeoFinance Mobile
Thanks! Yeah, I remember being super impressed with 10% when I first got here - 12 was a nice bump, and 20 is wicked cool! I sometimes wonder how long they will keep it this high, which definitely motivates me to load up that savings as much as I can. Good luck, my friend, I will look forward to hearing about it when you get back into HBD savings!
Makes more sense to put HBD into pHBD-USDC on PolyCUB honestly.

Another benefits of commenting and engaging with your niche or a community is that you just keep learning.
I've seen two posts today saying this same thing about what Hive really is... And I agree with you.
809 HP in 30days just from commenting and curating? That is a lot to me really! I've been in the platform for more than a year and I've only made a thousand HP from all my activities put together 😬 I think I need to step up my game, what do you think?
By the way, your short term goals are cool... I see you attaining them very soon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes, it is a journey that you constantly learn along the way. Comments = content. Set goals and smash them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Great! I'll do just that, you've motivated me with that earnings you got in just 30days 😅

Something I have not embraced are the Discord channels for Hive communities. For the most part, I don't earn very much from my posts. A great deal of my Hive holdings come from directly investing cash into my accounts. Every once in a while, I'll have a home run with a post. But, mostly, I go unnoticed.
I have a friend whom I invited to Hive. She jumped into the Discord chats and has made friends. They routinely upvote and comment on her content. She's off to a good start.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just keep doing it and people will notice. Discord is very helpful with building your network.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Join Pimp Your Post Thursday on, you guessed it, Thursday at 12pm Eastern in the DreemPort discord. You'll get to share some of your posts and meet new people. I suspect you'll then see the value in Discord. I have some posts up on my account about it. Last weeks recording is in the recap post.
Yes! Do it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's a fantastic growth and 809HP a month is not small if you ask me, everything adds up to your empire :) And thanks for sharing about Discord, I have to be there too, lol!
Cheers to you and keep smashing your goals! Dolphin isn't so far away :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thank you so much for your support! Indeed everything adds up.

You're very welcome! Cheers!

Thank you for sharing this. I have decided to set little personal goals for myself to help me up my engagement game. I feel like it’s something I’ll automatically fall in love with once I devote my time and energy to it.
Speaking of the mobile app, I have just started using it and I’m loving it, particularly for engagement because it makes it easy and content more accessible.
Your progress is amazing and inspiring. Well done. Hive is really way more than just blogging and I love it for everything it represents.
Posted using LeoFinance Mobile
Thanks for your support! Glad my progress has you inspired. Keep up the work and it will pay off in due time.
Posted using LeoFinance Mobile
That's true of pretty much every social environment on or offline. Building contacts, networks and friends takes times and care ... on both sides: you want to know who you are mates with.
One of the best pieces of advice for newbies I've seen recently is about focusing on finding your way around and how everything works (looking at communities that interest you, for example) and spending your first month commenting before you start posting.
For people who want to set goals and work towards them, there's a couple of great initiatives - the CTP tribe and community (check @jongolson's posts for more detail); and the Saturday Savers Club over on the @eddie-earner account. Newbies might be interested in the @tenkminnows account run by @steevc for some extra support.
I think doing some networking in communities is definitely a good way to start - along with a couple good posts before your introduction so people have something to look at when done reading it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Comments are a great way to help everyone. Helps the author, the other readers and grows your own account.
Another benefit is name recognition as people see your comments and start to get to know you
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yep, I think the recognition is the biggest piece. It won't be so easy to get noticed when there's over 100k active users so it's important to make the most of it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
who wouldn't notice Mr horse with the bright green background LOL
lol i'm a good horse

That's a nice haul of hive for 30 days. Im grinding as usual. I have my 5000 Leo but my hive is lacking. I want to ease back in because I'm loving HBD right now. But as hive goes lower I will get me. I just need to power up a little more but I tend to spend it on Khals experiments lol
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice LEO stack! I admittedly spend most of my HBD doing degen stuff on PolyCUB and Hive Engine so I feel you.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, I spent about 3,000 Leo doing that and it was worth $1,000 when cub rolled around lol.

I like to think it's well deserved. I've been working non-stop.

It shows and you deserve it. Hive rewards hard work.
You’re so right about this. I honestly can’t wait for the leo app on iOS to be fully ready. As it is now, I frequently switch from mobile app to web to do one or two things.
Congratulations in advance on your achievement. I’m sure you’ll get to your short term target soonest. I’m at 50% of your sort terms goals in leo & hive. I’m also hoping to hit 3k on each sides soonest.

The goals will come easily when you focus on consistency. The most recent Leo Mobile update is killer.

That’s a great achievement! 💪🏻🥳 well done.
Setting some goals for yourself do work. And the key is engaging. Commenting and putting yourself out there.
Finding a niche is also vital. You get focussed on it and can built.
Hope you reach your Leo goal too soon.

Only this year I am beginning to be more active on commenting! I was kind of frustrated trying to write more posts; but you are right, commenting post is changing my growing in the ecosystem. I confess I got discouraged last year after a Spamming Issue. I was posting every day for six months and I see nice results. But when someone made me the Spamming problem I got out for some months until little by little I came back.
Right now, I am focusing more in investing and some trading when I see some opportunity. But since a couple of months I am trying to do more commenting on posts.
I have never though about the importance of followers, but now I am enjoying to see how followers are growing, also I am following too much more HIVERs.
Still I have the strange sensation to not understand how we can get in trouble for Spammers, but as I am not Tech Savvy I continue with that question. As well I don't understand how downvotes are used. It should be an explanation when we got a downvote. My first downvote depressed me :(
A lot of things we are learning here! In addition, we are getting rewards!
Nice to read you!
Downvotes will happen. That's the nature of creating content. Just take it as good criticism and try to identify why you may have gotten that downvote. A lot of it is just bots, but There are some legitimate ones.
If you're feeling discouraged, get involved with some communities like @dreemport. Everyone is welcome.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for the explanation. I will check the community
Good to that you're after such a goal which I believe that you would achieve any time soon.
I will use your goal as a motivator because I don't want to keep lagging behind
Posted using LeoFinance Mobile
Thanks for your support! Good luck out there!

I'll add here that once a newbie starts posting good content they can join DreemPort. There they not only will see new people's work they may not have otherwise come across, they will get other people seeing their work. AND, they can earn some DREEM tokens. Multiple wins just like Dreemsteem loves.
Adding this to the post - I didn't think it would explode like this!

I feel as commenting on others posts and responding to the comments on our own posts is vital to growth for most who want to be successful on the Hive Blockchain. For those pushing forward, don't give up if you don't find your niche right away. Sometimes its found in the most unlikely of topics.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Very good point! Not everyone is going to find their niche right away. It will take trial and error.
