The Great Crypto Discount: Maxing Out My Hive Purchase with HBD

Hello Hive Fam!

Hope you are doing well and having a great time wherever you are in the world.

I hope that this is the market situation that a lot of people would not like because over 90% coins are in red, including the popular ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many more. Very few coins are showing in the green, and the majority of them are stablecoins. With stablecoin prices, they are kind of stable because there is little fluctuation we can see on the price, and the reason is that these coins are backed by the fiat currency, which is US dollars in most of the coins.

Can this situation be considered a crash or some sort of correction in the market? I don't know, to be honest, because I have no idea why this has happened, and it can be considered as a crash or some sort of correction where we are getting the opportunity to buy more. But as far as I understand the market, it is not the first time. For example, if I talk about Hive and I started buying this coin when the price was around 22 cents to 25 cents, but later on it dropped to 20 cents, where I bought a good quantity, and now it is below that price. So I still bought some quantity using the HBD that I had in my wallet in the savings option.

I simply follow fundamental principles with my investing. If I like something to hold and have been tracking it for a long time, whenever I get the opportunity to buy at a lower price, I will not hesitate and I'll go for it. The same has happened for Hive in my case because I already invested in this coin, so when I saw an upcoming opportunity for a price drop and to grab this opportunity, I removed all HBD from the savings in my wallet. I placed multiple bids in the internal market at different price levels, and I'm very happy to say that now all those bids are fulfilled except the one that you can see below.

I had placed multiple orders starting from $0.20 to this price, which is 17.5 cents. I have used all the HBD that I had in my savings to buy Hive, and I still believe that this is a good opportunity to buy more, but again, I cannot predict the market. However, looking at the historical performance, we will see the recovery on Hive for sure, but the question is when, which I am not able to answer as of now.

It is good to buy more Hive, and grow the power which is called HP, and I am doing that, but I also feel like it is a good strategy to keep some coins in liquid so whenever there is a price spike, I can convert those coins back to HBD while keeping the majority of the coins as staked in the form of HP. What are your thoughts about it? Thank you!

The current correction is due to the Fed with Powell now saying that two more rate cuts „are all but certain“ for this year. Market FUD consequence. 🤷🏼‍♂️🫤

Hive price below 20 cents is a great deal so I used all my HBD to buy hive.

In my opinion, you're doing the right thing. In the past, I often converted HBD to HIVE to power up when I considered the price of HIVE too low.
Right now, the only thing I regret is having very little HBD to convert :)

I agree with you that this is a good move to convert hbd to buy because of low price and Inam happy with my decision. I will continue to use all my HBD to buy more hive till the time price stays below 20 cents.
