Splinterlands did it once, GLG can do it again

With the scarce deposit options for Hive after HF26 (also some block allocation issues for validators have even required a new fork as HF27), I could only grab 17 packs on the new game Genesis League Goals developed by Splinterlands team under a new sports platform entitled Genesis League Sports. I bought into Splinterlands even before the game saw the light of day and as it proved its worth over and over again, I truly decided to repeat that investment also with GLG. But in order to make sense and have it become a future revenue stream, I know that I need to make a well-sized investment in it. Thus, in need of funds for that, I have started an HBD withdrawal of $500 from the Savings account.

As the HBD withdrawal was completed I moved right away and exchanged that for Hive in order to pay for the pack purchase. I got over 1,000 Hive on the Internal Market and have moved to the GLG site to make the intended purchase. Here are the steps that I went through.

Step1 - Pick up the 100 Packs options that entitle buyers to more incentives

Step2 - Complete the payment with crypto - Hive in this case

Step 3 - Get the packs along with additional bonus packs of 10%

By getting 100 packs at once, I was entitled to specific perks and future grants within the game. Here are some of those as published in the Genesis League Goals - Whitepaper for the Presale 1 phase which is purchasable with HIVE and Paypal.

  • Closed Beta access with 100 packs purchased.
  • Access to pack staking pool of 7.5M GLX tokens to be given out by end of presale 1 and the 7.5M GLX tokens to be given out by end of pre-sale 2 based on a number of packs owned.
  • Free license which is required to earn in-game for every 100 packs purchased.
  • Title for every 500 packs purchased.
  • Special promotional card for every 1,000 packs purchased.
  • The top 10 purchasers in pre-sale 1 will get their likeness on a coach card and be part of the design process of their card.

Thats a nice purchase. The splinterlabd ecosystem keeps growing and getting better. We can expect a massive growth with the genesis league game in the future.

Right, not so intuitive and I expected to log in with the keychain directly, but it seems that it needs that additional step to create the account. Wish that it was just a Hive login, but it seems not.

I was hoping to log in directly with the keychain so I tried it a few times without reading the descriptions. I even tried it with my other account :) But it finally did, and I'm reviewing it now and will buy it when I decide.

Nice, good luck with your investment. I haven't invested yet, there is just simply too much going so I opted for Tower Defense over GLS. If DEC goes back to peg soon(ish) I might purchase the 100 Pack deal.
