On the other side of the road.
A man lived to the left of the road, and he lived happily.
He had everything his heart desired.
He had a favorite hobby, a beloved garden and vegetable patch, a barn and poultry yard full of animals, and bees buzzed merrily in their hives, bringing honey.
There was no shortage of anything.
But one day, someone asked the man, "What's to the right of the road?"
"I don't know," the man replied, and a longing crept into his soul.
Every evening, he thought about how he'd never been there, on the other side of the road.
And so, he made up his mind, packed his backpack, and, without looking back, decided to cross the road and find out what life was like there.
He climbed for a long time across the bridge that connected the two sides of the road, and when he reached the other side, he saw a vast and picturesque world where people also lived.
He was so engrossed in his new experiences that he didn't notice how the days turned into weeks and months. Then, remembering that the birds and livestock weren't fed, and that the bees needed tending, he turned back.
When he returned, he saw no birds or animals in his yard, and the bees had disappeared, someone had cut down the trees, and the garden was overgrown with weeds as tall as a man.
Impressions, impressions, especially new ones, how easily they can steer us away from the right direction in life, and lead us to forget what's truly precious to us!
