Laissez-faire agricultural theory.
One day, my children came home from university and started excitedly telling me about a lecture they'd given on a farming method called permoculture. I was intrigued and decided to look into it.
I can't boast of being a very successful farmer. Rather, I have many reasons for telling stories about unsuccessful gardening experiences, lol, but usually when I tried to implement some innovations.
For example, I saw someone talking about planting potatoes by planting peelings with eyes... I ended up harvesting peas, not potatoes, they were so small, but there was a lot of them, lol.
It's not that the technology isn't effective, but apparently the soil needs to be particularly fertile for it to work.
But strangely, many other methods of planting potatoes, such as under straw, lead to similar results, and people remain dissatisfied with these new gardening trends.
Knowing my mistakes, I can predict that my garden will look lifeless, like that patch of forest in the photograph.

Below you can see my containers with data that I collect in INLEO and always have quick access to them it is very convenient.
Material thoughts about beekeeping №1
When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.

Oh, and lest I forget @bradleyarrow, the creator of the BBH coin would be happy to see our votes "for" the witness @thebbhproject, I cast my vote.
As the saying goes, if you're afraid of wolves, don't go into the forest, but there's another saying: let nothing amuse the child, so long as it doesn't make him cry.
The desire to try something new and unfamiliar is exactly like this.
Walking through the forest, I can easily see how an abundance of plant life can arise against all odds, like the red nightshade, a close relative of tomatoes and potatoes, which thrives in a shady forest near a river without any human intervention.

Persocultural farming essentially negates the word "farming" as such, since after planting trees, shrubs, and herbaceous vegetation, the soil doesn't need to be cultivated.
Essentially, it's the creation of a natural, viable biotope that includes ponds and what can't be, or can hardly be, called garden beds.
Creating ponds, such as a garden pond, deserves a separate discussion, but knowing how difficult it is to maintain ponds, I find it difficult to call such a system lazy, as some gardeners call it.
The water becomes acidic, blooms, it's difficult to maintain balance, and swarms of mosquitoes are a thing of the past. And whether all this will work without ponds is unclear.
