I want to become a beekeeper! - The regularity of the price of bee packages.

I think that very often a person who is a beginner in some business takes some things for granted and does not think about the nature of their formation.

For example, I knew that a bee package bought in April would cost about 35-50 dollars and I thought it was just a price taken out of thin air, as they say, but it turns out that there is some regularity in this price.

Depending on the previous year's honey yield and the wholesale price of honey, these bee packages may be a little cheaper, or vice versa, a little more expensive, but the main thing is that this price is approximately equal to the cost of 30 kg of honey, and this is how much honey, ideally, one bee package can bring, which, as a rule, consists of four settled bee frames with open and sealed brood, a fertile queen bee and a bee shaken from one honey frame into a box with a bee package.

Of course, here there is a moment when a person tries in every possible way to recoup the invested funds and either joy or sadness awaits him, if, for example, a purchased and developed division, through an oversight before the acacia blossoms, entered a swarming state.

I have doubts that my knowledge and theoretical skills will be enough to overcome such a barrier, therefore, most likely, I will make maximum efforts to attract swarms to new hives, and not spend money on buying bee packages in the first year of my beekeeping.
