I want to become a beekeeper! - Excessive modesty of a novice beekeeper.

Questions and answers, unanswered questions and answers that remain without due attention from me, or understanding, this is what I encounter every time I want to learn something new in the field of beekeeping.

One of the first questions that arose for me was the minimum number of hives that a novice beekeeper should start in order to understand whether this is the work of his life, or whether it is not worth our attention and it is better to forget about it.

Some beekeepers, probably those who just want to brush us off like an annoying fly, advise starting beekeeping with one hive and see what happens, but the fact that if, suddenly, everything turns out well for you, you will lose a whole year in the development of bee colonies, is silent.

The same beekeepers who value time above possible financial losses and this is wise, advise to start your beekeeping with four to six hives.

This number allows you to perform many manipulations with the expansion and reduction of bee families and enter the next year with the potential of ten or even more hives, but, of course, on the condition that we like this business and we will try to make a minimum of mistakes, and there will definitely be a lot of them at the beginning.

Therefore, although modesty is a good quality of a person, its excesses can steal a whole year from us.

Material thoughts about beekeeping №1

When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.
