An invasion of white flies.

I don't like flies; they're annoying and sting painfully.

I was just glad that the autumn chill had stopped the buzzing of flies, but then suddenly white flies arrived and hid all the colors of the world under a blanket of white.

These flies don't buzz, but they're no less annoying if you're outside without a hat or hood.

Their bites are especially noticeable in strong winds, and today, I really don't want to be swirled around by these cold flies.
