A look at the world of fiber and polysaccharides.
When I was in the forest before, I saw only the beauty of nature, or how it had changed over time.
Just like today, I was surrounded by trees and shrubs, and beneath the grassy undergrowth was a soft carpet of fallen leaves, or pine needles if the forest wasn't deciduous.
But over time, I began to look at things a little differently, beginning to understand some processes I'd previously been less attentive to.
If you ask me how to describe a forest biotope in a few words, I would now say that it is a world of fiber and polysaccharides, where there is a constant struggle for them and, at the same time, their constant production.
A gardener looking at the perforations in a tree's leaves immediately suspects something—spider mites or something else—devouring the green fiber and begins to ponder how to combat them. A person interested in growing mushrooms will be pleased to see this, as these leaves quickly lose their fiber, fall off, and turn into cellulose, a collection of polysaccharides essential for the substrate on which mushrooms can be grown from mycelium.
Understanding that any natural process in the forest is not a final destination but will lead to something greater, something beneficial, even if that process appears disastrous, changes one's perspective on the shady world of fiber and polysaccharides.
