People need some physical activity everyday, and at the same time, people will also need enough sleep. Recently, I had to decide between sleep and physical activity. I used to play Badminton near my house with friends. In one of the previous articles, I also mentioned this. But in the last one month, I stopped playing badminton. I feel healthier now than when playing regularly. It can be surprising, but the reason is that I used to sacrifice my sleep to play, which created wear and tear in my body.
Some people keep telling us that we might get knee problems if we play badminton. Since we are adding more pressure to the knees while playing, this can sometimes happen. It does not necessarily mean that everyone playing badminton can have knee problems, but likely, some people who already have the genes of arthritis or weaker bones might experience this problem while playing.
One of my friends used to say that any bone or muscle-related problem can be fixed only with the help of strengthening exercises. I don't know if I have to believe the things I read about knee problems for badminton players, but some people who play regularly suggested taking up a different sport than badminton.
For playing badminton, I used to wake up early in the morning. My office shift ends late at night, and waking up early in the morning was taking a toll on the quality of sleep that I was getting. It was very good to have the physical activity and social interaction I used to have by playing every day. But then I realized that I was not getting enough sleep and that was harming my health.
Today I sleep enough hours, even though I sleep very late at night. This way, at least I have more sleep hours compared to what they used to be before. For this very reason, when it comes to physical activity or sleep, I decided that sleep is more important for me, at least for now, and later, maybe if I can plan it well, I can get back to playing regularly in the morning.

i think no one here plays badminton, but in the end of the day one should do the sport he likes and not something boring... sleep at least 7h is good
Thanks Mr. Bala G
Its good to maintain ourselves with some physical activities, Like I played cricket (in this one game, we move approx. all of our body parts 😅) but I think its been more than 12-15 years I played it 😅
What about your own routine? Exercise in morning?

Off Topic : Are you in touch with @sayee Didi? If yes, say me Hello to her (Thanks)
That was a smart decision. Sleep is really important for health, and without enough rest, even fun activities like badminton can feel exhausting. I think you made the right choice to prioritize your well-being first.

The best is to balance things out, with your sleep and also with the activities, but with lots of work, I think sleep is much needed, but doing the physical activities maybe once a week or might also helps you keep ypur body even fitter after getting enough sleep and rest.
This is motivational for me as I sleep more and getting overweight. Need to do some physical exercise. We have no badminton playing space around but I can do warm up at home. Thanks for the share.
Nowadays, we spend the whole day sleeping and do very little physical activity, which is deteriorating our health. So it is better that all of us should do physical activity every day. Do some business or do any kind of work every day that keeps our body moving. It will be better for our health.
Absolutely right, sleeping is essential for body recovery and functioning properly, he whom skip it or have trouble with is actually compromising vital organs and shortening their lives as a result.
Sleep really is the foundation of good health. Without proper rest the body will just be struggling to recover and stay strong too. Physical activity is important too but I'll take quality sleep first so it'll make me more effective
I didn't have the opportunity to play badminton. But I love playing volley ball then with my fellow female mate
