I ordered a Motorola Edge 50 fusion mobile phone through Flipkart. I will write a separate article explaining my experience with this new phone, but in this article, I would like to share my happiness in seeing how the phone was packed. These days all the mobile phone companies are doing a great job packing and sending the phone. They are providing a sturdy cardboard box that is not only good-looking but also very good. Sometimes I even reuse these cardboard boxes to store some stationaries.
Today when I was doing the unboxing, I noticed that it was written on the box itself that the package is plastic-free. Except for one small tape that was on the top, everything else was pure paper/cardboard. I'm usually someone who hates plastics or unnecessary use of plastics. Sometimes I find it hard to implement the same in the house itself but I feel very happy to see some companies like Motorola taking this very seriously and avoiding plastics.
I understand that there are a few things for which we cannot avoid plastics. Maybe we can but we are not ready yet. But for some evident things that can have non-plastic material, it is good to change because our planet is being polluted to a greater extent and it is hard for us to reverse the pollution unless we wake up.
I have written about this in the past several times. We are all suffering because of plastics and it is believed that we are eating about a SIM card size of plastic every day without our knowledge. Semen samples are also having microplastics these days reducing the fertility rates. So there are so many areas where plastic contamination is happening. We have to be aware of all these things and avoid plastic as much as we can. Maybe reusable plastics or plastics that are capable of recycling are okay to some extent but using traditional methods and avoiding plastics altogether is always better.
I wish all the mobile manufacturing companies and other packaging companies would start following the same path and reduce plastic usage. I think it will be nice if we look for alternatives and start using the alternatives instead. Bamboo-based products are available in the market and compared to all other products, Bamboo products are sustainable and can also be made cheap. The main reason is because Bamboo grows faster compared to the other natural trees. The awareness is already available but big companies should take this seriously and start doing the transition.

Great post on awareness of plastic, after reading your article semen sample contains a microplastic statement that caught my attention and thought to myself it may be a false one. But upon a simple google search I came to know that it's real and terrified how much we depend and use plastic and contamination of things with plastic. Thank you for the post.

Would love to see your review about the phone, I hardly see Motorola releasing new phone nowadays, at least not as much as when they are in direct competition with Nokia.
We have a very big problem with plastic waste during this rainy season as it washed up on most of the shore at the southern part of the island, ruining the beaches. so unfortunate

I have never thought of this usage of paper in such thing as this. Maybe I haven't really checked by I think all the phones I have bought in cartons have their packs in paper and not the plastic. Maybe there's a chip of plastic there but they look more of Paper
This is highly commendable, and I'm happy to see this too. A lot more work has to be done against plastic, but I wonder how long it would take mankind to do enough, plastics have basically taken over the world. We should keep trying, though.
Very soon, the usage of plastics will reduce because the information of harmful plastics is spreading all over the world
It has really been long I heard about Motorola in phones. I think they are doing well. We are expecting them to create a massive smartphone big time
It's good they reduce plastic, the problem is that a lot of companies took away the charger with that excuse but without lowering the price
I thought Motorola was long dead 👀 - but oh well, more competition is only better for us!
Wow! Motorola is no doubt an household name in the mobile phone industry . It's no surprise that they are implementing this new idea of plastic free packaging, this feat comes with a lot of experience and insight.
