Getting Started in Frontier Format and Buying Cards in Rising Star Game

(edited)

Splinterlands

In my previous post I talked about Campaign Mode and how it's useful for new players to discover how battles work; it's also a great way to get some Foundation Cards to start your battles in Frontier Format.

All the Foundation Cards you receive in Campaign Mode are non-tradeable, but as I mentioned before, they are useful for playing in Frontier Format.

I haven't spent the 3000 Credits I received after buying my Spellbook yet; I'll use them to rent cards and participate in the other battle formats in Splinterlands.

There are 3 other battle formats in Splinterlands for me to choose from:

  • Modern Format.

  • Wild Format.

  • Survival Format.

I liked Wild Format because I can use all the cards that exist in Splinterlands in that format, but I don't like having to face several bots. I still need to think more about my strategy for the game, but I'm sure I'll play Survival Format along with another format.

My progress in Frontier Format is still slow and it's not very easy to climb leagues using only the cards I received in Campaign Mode, but I'm having fun and the best part is that the cards I receive in Frontier Format are tradable, so it's a great way to start making money in the game.

This is my first reward in Splinterlands and it was just 1 Common card which isn't worth much, but I'm happy because it's my start in this amazing game and I hope to receive even more valuable assets in the future.

My goal in Frontier Format is to reach the Gold league, which is currently the highest league in this format, and the rewards are great because I get the Foundation pack as a reward.

Each Foundation pack gives the player 5 random Foundation Cards and that's a good amount of cards, especially since in Frontier Format the player can receive up to 3 rewards per day, so in the Gold league they can receive up to 3 Foundation packs per day.

Foundation Cards aren't very good cards if you compare them to cards from other editions, but they're good for starting your journey in Splinterlands, and you can also sell them to start earning in-game currency.

Foundation Packs are also tradable, so you can sell those packs too, but you'll first need to reach the Gold League to start receiving them as rewards.

Rising Star Game

In Rising Star Game, my only goal is to reach level 10 to unlock Music Lessons, but I still keep an eye on the market for cards at a good price, and today I bought the E139 Native 1200 card, which will give me 1000 Fans. This card won't give me Skill, so that's a problem for my EGO, but I liked the card, so I decided to buy it, and soon I'll unlock Music Lessons, and then EGO won't be a problem.

The E139 Native 1200 only cost 129,000 STARBITS, and that's a good price for an epic card that gives 1000 Fans.
