In my other posts I mentioned that I started my journey in Splinterlands and I'm currently playing the Frontier Format because, in my opinion, it's a great way for a newcomer to learn about battles.
Another interesting advantage of the Frontier Format is that you can start earning money in the game without spending money buying or renting cards, but you still need to buy the Spellbook.
If you're curious about the Frontier Format, then I recommend you read my two posts below.
Explaining Campaign Mode in Splinterlands and My Goals for Rising Star Game
Getting Started in Frontier Format and Buying Cards in Rising Star Game
Since my focus is the Frontier Format, I need Foundation Cards, and for that reason, today I decided to open my first pack in Splinterlands.

To find the available packs in Splinterlands, you need to go to the Card Packs option on the Splinterlands website.
There are several Card Pack options, but what I'm looking for are Foundation Cards, and for that reason, I'm going to buy Foundation packs.

In Splinterlands, you can buy packs with Credits or with DEC. This is good news because I can start spending the 3000 Credits I received after buying the Spellbook.
I'm going to buy 3 packs, and each pack costs 39 Credits, so in total that will cost me 117 Credits. I still have a lot of Credits left, but I don't want to spend them all quickly because I'm still discovering various things about Splinterlands.

Each pack in Splinterlands has 5 cards, so I'll receive 15 cards opening the 3 Foundation packs.
I don't usually have luck opening packs in other games, but let's see if I'll have luck in Splinterlands.

I still don't know much about Splinterlands to know if these cards are good, so only time will tell because I'll be testing them in battles.
When I reach the Gold league in the Frontier format, I'll start earning Foundation packs, and that will be great for making money in the game or evolving my current Foundation Cards.
I haven't reached level 10 in Rising Star Game yet, but it won't be long before that happens. After reaching level 10, I'll be able to buy packs and then I'll try my luck in Rising Star Game as well.

The first 100 packs cost 10,000 STARBITS, and after that, they start costing 20,000 STARBITS. Considering the prices of cards in Rising Star Game, this isn't a bad price, and packs will probably be my main way of getting Fans in Rising Star Game, but I'll still continue buying cards on the market when they're at a good price.
Each pack in Rising Star Game contains 3 cards.
