The Beauty of Decay

In fading light, a glow remains
In the beauty of nature, lie the memories of time
Silent drops, the roars goes still
The lines and cracks, a map of the past

In the testimony of time, the weight we bear
A gentle reminder that nothing last forever
The vibrance of beauty, lies in decay
And in the passing, a new beauty will amass

In silent, sprout a new beauty
A bald tree clothes herself with fresh aprons
It was the beauty in decay that gives new hope
In decay's embrace, a beauty is born

So let us cherish the beauty of decay
A topography moment that will forever last
The patina of age, a beauty rare
For in her depth, a beautiful story is told.

I really like the pairing of this poem with this image. Whilst reading I saw images of golden light through leaves that are going brown and decaying.
