Reviving Lost Easter Tradition

Papi, an old man, wanted to make the Easter celebration special for his grandchildren. To him, the current festival wasn't symbolizing the season as it should—looking at how the culture of the Easter season was gradually fading.

They watched as Papi brought several items home and stared at him make decorations on the Easter eggs. He made colorful snippets of musical notation on them and topped each egg with a tufted feather. When he was done, he hung them with some strips of rope and decorated one part of the house. His face looking bright and satisfied, he turned to face the children.

"Now this is what Easter is," he said, pointing at the Easter eggs hanging on the ropes. "It says everything about the festival—the eggs, the musical notation, the colorful feathers."

They smiled. Even though it wasn't as colorful as he seemed to describe it, they appreciated his effort and praised his little work of art.

"Was this how Easter was celebrated in your time?" one of the children asked.

"Yes, but with a touch of the modern style," he replied, grinning with a proud look.

They laughed and allowed themselves to enjoy the moment. The Easter celebration was done with Grandpa's decorations hanging for everyone to see.
