It's been a while since I've felt hyped up by a Webtoon. Of course, I enjoy reading a bunch of them, but the last time I really enjoyed one to the point of obsession was Eleceed. However, around last week, I got so into another Webtoon called JUNGLE JUICE.

You can read this Webtoon on the Webtoon Website or you can check it out on the app. Two seasons are completed, and the third one is ongoing. I've finished reading the first two seasons, and I'm trying hard not to start reading the third season yet, as I'm planning to binge-read it as soon as it's completed. (I'm trying to distract myself by reading another Webtoon now).

So... what is Jungle Juice about? Let's talk about it!

NOTE: The photos I'm going to share are photos from the Webtoon app. They don't normally allow screenshots of the app, but the screenshot option is available for this one, and it made me happy... I'm using one of the photos as my phone wallpaper. T_T

The main character, Suchan, is living a fantastic college life. He's someone you'd describe as someone at the top of the food chain. He has perfect grades, is good-looking, and is quite popular among his peers. However, everything can't be as perfect as you want it to be, right? It's the same for him as there's a secret he's been diligently hiding.

Yep, he is literally hiding a pair of dragonfly wings on his back. This pair grew all of a sudden after he used a mysterious insect spray called "Jungle Juice". He has no idea how to explain the situation he's in, so he chose just to hide the fact, instead of asking for help and eventually being used as a lab rat somewhere.

However, an unfortunate incident left him no choice but to spread his wings in public. This incident created havoc online, but it also suddenly died down. Unluckily for Suchan, his effort to save the bitch woman didn't pay off. He was ostracized at his university for "resembling" the scary insect man from the video.

I hate roaches, but she's so stunning and amazing that I can't NOT love her.

The incident wasn't all bad, though. Suchan got the chance to meet Huijin, who's also affected by the Jungle Juice and is now a person with the qualities of a roach.

She introduced him to a hidden world where insect humans live together. It's a place where everyone is accepted for what they are... though they had to live in secrecy, that world was quite ideal.

The university in that world also gives chances to the class valedictorian to receive "Cinderella", a potion that would turn them back into a human.

As I've mentioned in the title, "I'm obsessed with this Webtoon!

The story is fascinating, and the characters are really well-developed. It has a good and smooth flow, so it's easy to follow... and you get a bunch of trivia about insects along the way!

The main character is so charismatic! MCs aren't usually my favorites, but Suchan's character buildup is superb! I can't be excited enough whenever he does crazy things in various scenes. I've never really liked a main character this much. He's powerful (but not OP), and he's smart! Smart MCs, especially in shounen, are already a rarity, but Suchan is smart in all aspects: mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I lowkey enjoy a touch of romance in action-fantasy Webtoons, and this one is just awesome! It's not the typical boy-protects-girl type; instead, they protect each other. Huijin is also such a lovable character, and I don't mind the occasional cute scenes between them, because when you see both of them in action... bruh!!! It's just the best thing ever! <3

Below are screenshots of that one scene that made me fall even deeper in love with both of them. It may sound cringe, but when you know the story behind it, you'll feel what I feel...

And if you may have already noticed, there's another reason why I like this Webtoon...

THE.ART.STYLE.IS.FREAKING.DOPE!!!!!

If the human art style is this good, just wait til you see how amazingly detailed they drew the insect counterpart! Every one of them is a masterpiece... I feel my heart beat faster because of how amazing the art style is. It made me want to try and paint more insects in the coming days. I'll definitely do so!!!

So yeah... I'm obsessed!
I can't wait to start reading the third season. It now has around 30+ chapters available on the app, but I'm still trying to be patient. But we'll see how long my patience can last. I'm planning to reread from the beginning because why not!?
