Leisurely Strolling in Our Garden and Around Our House

(edited)

It has been raining a lot the past few days, so going out for a walk would be a little uncomfortable due to some mud and puddles. It was sunny this morning, though. And since I decided not to go out for a walk, my mom and I decided to transfer the lettuce sprouts to a separate plot of land. She'll be updating you about our garden in the future.

After breakfast, I decided to go out for a stroll around the house. I usually do this to get some steps in, take in some fresh air, and also to catch some Pokémon. hahaha

My bestie and her hubby started playing Pokémon Go again, so she asked me to play as well. I haven't played since 2016, but it's indeed quite encouraging to walk more with such a purpose. Even though I just walk around the house and the garden, I can exercise and have fun at the same time. It helps to have quite a big space with lots of nature!

Let's take a tour around our garden! :)

This is our vegetable garden area. We plan to take care of the ornamental and flowering plants in front and on the other side of the house. This area here is intended for vegetables and fruits, since there are some fruit trees already.

This first plot is where we planted the seed... and when they're big enough, we're going to transfer them in a different plot or area.

This is the plot my mom and I worked on this morning. We replanted the lettuce sprouts. There were some of them left in the original plot of land. Those are for some of our friends and relatives. They're going to plant it in their house or garden, too. :)

Then, we have this area where we replanted the okra... We did it a couple of weeks ago, so they're much bigger now. And next to it, my mom and I cleared out a space and planted some squash seeds we got from the squash she cooked last time.

The weeds have started growing again, but among them are the squash seedlings that grew. It's growing quite fast. We only planted them around 9 days ago, and look at how much they've grown since then...

This one still has the seed cover on top of it. We couldn't take care of the garden the past few afternoons as it has been rainy, but when the weather is fine, and I don't have classes, I'm going to take out the weeds surrounding them so we can see them more clearly.

Those are the views I could see from where I was standing. I walked around more in the area before going to the front of the house.

Meet our guava tree. His name is Will. My mom and I germinated the seed we used in planting it from the guava fruit we got from our late neighbor, Kuya Willie. He passed away recently, so to remember his generosity and kindness towards us, we named this tree after him. We placed him on one side in front of the house.

Our house... for the next several years. Hahah Hopefully in the future, we could buy some land around here and build our own house. We're currently renting this place, and we're lucky to have a kind landlord. She allowed us to use the whole area for gardening, and other stuff.

The front area is where I usually take photos to share on my Snaps. There are some coconut trees, bamboo, among others.

My father is currently clearing out this area so we can plant some ornamental and flowering plants. Ohh... we got this palmera plant from our neighbor. My father already transferred this one. There are still a bunch of other plants we got from our neighbor that need to be transferred.

Anyway, let's go to the opposite side of the house and to the store.

When I passed by the house, this cutie patootie caught my attention. hahaha It's Arashi!!!

He's in my parents' room with my mom when I was walking around... we already took him and Max for their morning walks earlier. Well, my father did since Mama and I were busy with the garden work. XD

Here's the other side of our house. It leads to the garage and the mango tree area. That's where we usually take Arashi and Max for a stroll. And this is our small sari-sari store in the huge garage. We still need more items in the store, but we don't have enough capital yet. We'll work on it gradually... It's already a huge help in our daily consumption. And soon, when our vegetables grow, we won't worry much about food! Vegetables are so expensive these days! XD

The garage space is also really huge. The ceiling needs repair, though... but my father protected the store area, though we need to buy more galvanized iron for the rest of the store just in case. When we have enough budget for it. hahaha

When we transferred, the garage space was quite creepy and dark, but now it's much cleaner. The owner's old van and old stuff are still here, but we placed them in a single space... and they're planning to take the van away soon.

We also utilized the rest of the space as our laundry area... and that's also the dirty kitchen. We didn't use the dirty kitchen yet since it still needs some repair, particularly the roof. Rainwater comes in in some areas.

And when you get out of the door near the laundry area... you'll see this...

Yes, we're back to where we started... but this time, our neighbor's dog is here. We call her Kibol, and she's my mom's adopted dog. She always looks for my mom since she got food from her. She's also Max's friend. :)

I only strolled around for about 15 minutes, but I will do another round or so this afternoon to stretch. I usually do so since my job involves a lot of sitting down. I have to keep my blood flowing. hahaha

I'll end this post here. Thanks for checking! See you around! (^^,)/
