As I said in my previous posts, we had a heatwave in August that was pushing temperatures up to 35 Degrees Celsius, which in combination with high humidity, felt like over 40! The only time during the day, for spending time outside was early in the morning... Last week, in my #WednesdayWalk post I shared with you a great 8 km walk that I took... Today, I'm sharing with you a bit shorter route around the small river...
I have shared a couple of times part of this route, but a different times of the year, it looks different! As we had (luckily it's not that hot anymore) that heatwave, the best location for a walk is far away from the city and town, far away from concrete and asphalt as they are causing even higher humidity than it is...
So, if you have a forest or a river close to your place of living, I would pick that place for a walk... Well, this was like that... The walk took on the banks of a small river, which is so small that it's not even visible in the photos... lol... But, there is a catch... As it provides water for plants, the vegetation around it is dense which helps in bringing "freshness"!
This is probably the "ideal house" in which I would like to live (and own) one day... It's not a 50-bedroom mansion, but a small house with a space for a garden, located close to the river, and outside the town center... It is not that far from the town (maybe a 20-30 min walk), but still have a feeling that you are far away from civilization... It has mountain views, and possibly a sea view from the balcony! What else can you ask for? Okay, maybe it is on the beach, but that would be too much... π
Just a few months ago, this was a dusty road and now it is asphalted... It's not that I'm a big fan of asphalt, but it helps a lot when you don't have huge muddy puddles in the autumn or winter... Which reminds me of Peppa Pig... lol
It was great to see that the roadworks didn't destroy these flowers on the side of the road! I remember that my grandma had this flower in her garden and it reminded me of my childhood... Like those innocent, carefree days of my life!
...following the path...
At a certain point, there is a small ranch beside the road... It is fenced, but this banana tree is growing outside the fence and I used the opportunity to take a photo!
...also, this guy came toward me to see what was happening and to protect his chicks! Nobody touches my chicks! π
...and there it is! The only photo of the river! I was passing the small bridge and took this image of the river upstream... On the other side, it goes to the sea... As you can see, the vegetation is pretty dense, especially when you know how it looks in other places where there is no water nearby... Water is LIFE and this photo proves that!
If you checked my last week's post, then you can recognize this part... It leads to the parking lot where I left my car...
The same as last time, after a walk, the next destination was a beach and cooling off!
Thank you for your time! I hope you enjoyed the walk,
~ph~

Nice walk! One day soon, those bananas are going to be ready to eat! I just retreated from my walk now cause it's raining lol.
Also how many kids do you have? I can hear the haunting voices signing jumping up and down in muddy puddles...
Ohhh... That's a pity... We have rain very rarely, but I was thinking of using it next time and going out while it is raining... To mix things up! :)
Heheheeh... I have just one and he will have 18 soon... :) But, I remember watching Peppa Pig with him when he was small... π
LOL, we have lots of winter rain, so I don't want to get sick - it messes with my training! Then you have to recover and infect the kid, and she has to recover blah blah blah ... endless cycle. But get it, a lovely walk or run in the rain is always nice.
Are you telling me Pepa has been haunting parents for that long already! !LOL, I thought she was relatively new. my niece is 12, and I don't recall watching it with her - we used to spend a lot of time together when she was little, as my mom looked after her when my sister was at work - and I was staying with her at the time. But I need to investigate this. They grow up so fast, though - I guess he's more like your friend now than your kid. Different stages of parenting!

Those bananas really look tasty. I can imagine how they will look when ripened.
They will probably feel tasty! For now, they just look great :)
Here in Pakistan it has been similar weather in August but now the weather is getting better especially at night the weather is getting nicer now and the cool air keeps blowing. All these flowers looks so beautiful.
When we have these heatwaves, the worst is that it doesn't cool off during the night... As we are close to September, it's getting better as nights are cooler
The nights here in Pakistan have become cold.
Walk on that path would be awesome π Flowers are beautiful but those roosters look more energetic ππ which came towards you lol
I have some bad memories of when I was a child and chased by a rooster... lol... π
Don't worry I've some bad memories too about when roosters chasing me too but in childhood even I've some bad memories with goat too π

Those wild flowers are familiar. I think I also saw them around my place. Chickens are surely protective with their chicks. You shouldn't mess with them. π
You are right! Nobody wants an angry rooster behind him... π
What a peaceful and beautiful place, the flowers are all gorgeous. I'd rather have a simple house but with a lot of good sceneries outside that a big mansion. Just like this, with a pretty flowers in the surrounding, vegetables too for own consumption ang Trees everywhere. That's the ideal place of mine where I wamt to settle.
We have similar views about the "ideal place for living"... A small house, a garden with vegetables for our own use, maybe a few different fruit trees... Nothing more than that!
Hope someday, we all make this happen with our family.
Awesome walk, and I'm happy to see the flowers resisting even if the asphalt was brought recently. But that banana tree is what I loved the most since I never saw one before! π²β€οΈ
I like those "wild" flowers a lot! Actually, most of the flowers that I photograph are growing outside gardens, without human interaction... I suppose that makes them more resistant!
We have a nice climate where bananas should grow, but I didn't see many trees around... This was my second or third... The weather is good for them, but I suppose that they need more water, and this area is very dry...
Water is truly life. I don't know why that road was actually asphalted, but I guess it comes with it's own advantages and disadvantages. Still a plantain hanging down from a ranch, good sight lool. It just reminds me of the plantain plantations we gave over here. It's a beautiful sight to behold, all those beautiful flowers are just a proof that nothing beats nature
Nothing beats nature!!! I love that!
I suppose that some politician bought a "summer villa" in that area and asked for asphalt for his new home... π As there are not too many homes there and not that much need for it...
Hahaha as know that people who are wealthy mostly tend to get what they want, even if they do it for their pleasure and to subconsciously spite others
Wow, a very nice place for a walk with all those things you see on the way. The weather is the same here in the Philippines, so it's the perfect time early in the morning or late afternoon for a walk.
Thanks!
Late afternoons are getting better now, but just a week or two ago, it was worse than during the day... So, mornings are definitely the best part of a day for a walk!
Yes but like in our countryside... There are a lot of mountains and trees that shade the way so either in the morning or late afternoon will do.
I did enjoy that walk, I must say it already looks quite hot even though still in the morning... any thing over 30 I couldn't stand:D
The house, looks perfect...and all that diverse vegetation you have around there!!
We are finally under 30 last 2-3 days... It will probably stay like that, which is okay... We had over 30 for 2 months! Every single day!
I and the monkeys love those bananas, lol.
Hehehe... I liked almost all fruits when I was younger, but now, my stomach is picky and a lot of fruits don't suit for me... Luckily, I'm still good with bananas, so add me to the list! π
Sorry to hear about your stomach! I bet your eyes and nose still like them all. But that's life... We're starting to discover that we'll not always be like in our 20s. :D
Wow, you did capture some very amazing and beautiful flowers on your walk. We mostly have rainy days here, it's been pouring ceaselessly. Thanks for sharing these beautiful sights.
So, your weather is completely opposite to this that we have here... We didn't see rain for months... Okay, we did have, but it was raining for 15 minutes and that doesn't count... :)
But having a lot of rain means beautiful plants everywhere!
Yeah, it does mean beautiful plants.
Nice post and pics, but about a house near the river, be careful, we have here very bad experience...in the latest flood 400 new houses were destroyed...but they were built near small streams...
It was more like daydreaming... I doubt that crypto will pump that much that I will be able to buy a house like that...
But, agree with you regarding houses by the river... You never know what can happen...
Great colors, in the brown sourrounding those flowers shine even more. Hope your house dream will come true! My first thought was, so many empty little houses in Hungary and Croatia, but then I saw the banana tree. This probably wouldnt grow there.
Hehehehe... The climate in Spain is too perfect to be comparable with any other European country... That's why we have the first neighbors that are from Germany, and the next ones are from The Netherlands... π
Great walkβ¦
Very recognisable flowers.
Itβs funny to see the asphalt on the track. It does help in muddy months but it so does look out of place.
Thanks for sharing your walk ππ»π have a great evening!
It was strange to see it as it was never before there! You got used to the dust and dirt that it missed it! π
Thanks for checking out the post!
Things you can get used too. But something like that you miss funnily hehehe π€
You are welcome ππ»π
I love the look of the beach. Those bananas seems almost ready to harvest.
You making reference to Peppa pig reminds me of how much I miss watching itπ
It looks like we have a lot of Peppa Pig fans here! π
The beach doesn't look like some from the "postcards", but that one is one of my favorites...
It looks gorgeous trust me
There are no forests here but we have got so many big rivers here and I think I'd take a walk around there someday
Nice pictures!
If you have a lot of rivers near you, you should definitely take walks around them... and create great posts about it!
such a lovely walk all the flowers are so beautiful
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
The best thing about this area is that at any time of the year, there are some flowers!
Thanks for the comment and support!
πππ
You are right. Between 5 am and 8 am, I can have my sweety sleep :)
That is the best time! Like that light breeze in those hours!
Light and cool ;)
That was really a cool off definitely
Thank you! I'm glad that you liked the post!
Lovely shots buddy :)
