I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I started building my Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine very soon after I arrived on the Blockchain, almost 3 years ago, and the longer I've been doing so, the more importance and focus I've given to the Multi-Stream aspect, because I've seen clearly and experienced that creating muliple solid streams of passive income makes me far less at a disadvantage if one or a few income steams dry up, especially over time. If I rely, or plan to rely, on one stream, say the interest from HBD in Savings, that is a sign that I need to put some attention on creating other comparable steams, because if I rely on only one, at some point I'm going to get burned.
Even HBD in Savings, which has been one of the best investments for more than two years now with its 20% APR, is subject to periodic changes that can dramatically affect our daily income. As an example, if I had 120,000 HBD in Savings, at the present 20% APR I would receive 2,000 HBD in monthly interest. If the APR is lowered sharply, as there is presently talk of implementing soon, say to an 8% APR, then that 2,000 HBD per month would drop to 800, which is a huge loss. So while I will still focus on growing HBD in Savings as much and as quickly as I can, it also means that I need to create other similar dependable and reliable income streams, to ameliorate the loss and keep growing. With enough assets, even low APRs can generate huge monthly profits.
Since there are only two important assets in layer 1, HBD and HIVE/Hive Power, if I intend to create many more passive-income streams, I must look to layer 2, and its innumerable projects. As I've mentioned before, however, investing in layer-2 projects is inherently more risky, due to the fact that most are run by only one individual, which does not lend itself to long-term viability. So finding and focusing on solid projects that are run by solid teams, becomes a prerequisite. Once there is a good base of investment into known-reliable projects, then assets can also be allocated to ever-more of the potentially more-risky projects.
Never put all your eggs in one basket, as the saying goes, is actually quite solid advice, especially from an investment perspective, and even more so from a layer-2-investment point of view. I've already invested quite heavily in certain layer-2 assets and projects, so with word that the APR for HBD in Savings may indeed soon be lowered strongly, I'll be giving greater attention to exploring and looking more closely at various promising layer-2 projects. Regardless of broken eggs, I keep my eyes on the target.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive round, just a bit after 2PM, straining out and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing first. With that done, I walked around the property for a while to take photos for these posts (as well as a few for my entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest). Once I was satisfied with my batch of photos, I went to Tutu's to do the dry-goods food order, which did not take me long at all. After finishing that, I returned to the Flow House for a short break, before heading to the fenced garden to continue with my thorough weeding job that I had begun yesterday. I got another good chunk done, and I plan to continue with it today again as well. When I was done weeding for the day, I took a shower, collected my leftover superfood fire coffee and kefir from the Landing fridge, and made my way back to the Flow House, to get into my evening round of Hive tasks, and catching up on my notifications. I had a lot, again, and they kept coming, so I was only able to get to within 2 hours of being up to date. I finally made myself go to bed just after 12AM, at the top of the Ecency Leaderboard once again. I woke up just after 8AM, still feeling like I could have used more sleep, doing a round of token management, starting on this post, then finally getting out of bed, to go make my superfood fire coffee, just after 9AM.
It's now just after 1PM, so a great time to end this post, so that I can get to a few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House later in the afternoon, to first strain out and blend kefir, hopefully take more photos for these posts, and then land work, which will be weeding in the fenced garden again. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest later today, and the next incarnation of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
1.) Heal my broken heart, reignite my heart sun, and embody a solid, healthy masculine, allowing my electric fire to shine bright, no matter what others, especially women, say or do.
2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness.
3.) Do regular (naked) integral practices again, alone or with others.
4.) Dance regularly again.
5.) Work with natural entheogens (mushrooms, ganja, ayahuasca), with punctuated regularity, as a part of my healing process again.
6.) Get, and keep, regular deep, integral energy-body-tantric work healing sessions for women flowing again.
7.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
8.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again.
9.) Live as an integral part of a juicy heart-resonant soul tribe community, with deep, coherent mutual and shared passion, purpose, mission, love, warmth, care, sweetness, reverence, respect, aliveness, admiration, excitement, enjoyment, playfulness, work, fun, laughter, attraction, and all-level connections and relationships.
10.) Make love with the woman, or the women, that I love, every day, as a sacred devotional practice.
11.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

!INDEED ! Diversification is key when it comes to long term planning. Sure, you could get to whaledom faster by putting all eggs in one basket, but if the basket breaks, you’ll be thrown back on your whaleward journey further then you can imagine!
Great tip again!!! 😉🙏

You got that right, brother, and the greater our holdings of assets, the more we are able to diversify. Yep, exactly. It's good to take risks, but calculated risks. Thanks ever so much, @borniet, I'm always grateful that what I share is useful for you (and other)! By the way, the ARP for HBD in Savings is now 15%, or at least that's what it says at the moment via PeakD and Ecency. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

!INDEED ! The greater our holdings, the more we can diversify! And your content absolutely has tremendous value, for me, and many others I'm sure!
As for the APR... Yeah, I noticed it as well this morning. Hate it! :-D I saw some remarks passing by somewhere about lowering the APR for HBD savings, but I didn't really see the rationale behind it... Do you know why they did it?

A very good read with lots of lessons. I learned much more about savings and also reminded not to put all eggs in one basket.
Awesome nature photos. I can also read that you are enjoying your life at GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i.
Thanks so much, @emjeak, I'm grateful that you find what I shared useful, and that you appreciate my photos! There are always many challenges, but yes, I am doing pretty well! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
