I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. While I am now able to successfully load and run both Gemma 4 26B-A4B QAT and Qwen3.6 35B-A3B APEX IQuality (with Hermes Agent imatrix tuning) on my laptop for extended periods, there are still some server instabilities and crashes, which I'm in the process of noodling out and resolving. I don't have huge amounts of time, so I'm doing this in short, focused bursts.

Qwen3.6 35B-A3B APEX IQuality does seem to be a bit more finicky when it comes to the run flags that I use than Gemma 4 26B-A4B QAT, so I've had to create four different run profiles in total, one for each of the two models, with their specific ik_llama.cpp and llama-cpp-turboquant run flags. My challenges in this regard are multiplied, as I'm not just learning the run flags for one fork of llama.cpp, but two, and there's still so much testing left to do.

I'm relentless and tenacious, however, so after any frustrating failure, I just focus on something else for a while, then I returns after a short time, for another round of experimentation and testing. This is how I figure out, and finally learn, any new technologcal framework with which I come to work. In the end, I usually come out with a very good understanding of the framework with which I'm working. Along with lots of research, that's how I've learned to become quite proficient in all of my techy passions.

I'll always choose to do things in a free, open-source, locally-run, manner that is private, and which is under my control. Running my own local SearXNG meta-search engine, and my local LLM-server-Hermes-Agent agentic-AI framework, are two recent examples of this propensity and proclivity, but it pertains to any technology that I come to use.

Open-source and open-weights agentic-AI tech is immensely fascinating and exciting for me, partly because the potentials of what I'll be able to do with it are truly quite incredible and mind blowing. Doing this on local hardware is at the very cutting edge of development, and it's squarely in the domain of the pioneering exploration and discovery of what's possible.

Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by around 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and then to few jungle-community tasks, including chopping and dumping bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, digging a new planting hole along the main trail in the spot that I cleared yesterday, and collecting and moving a wheelbarrow full if lava rocks to stage near the Landing for use in creating a new foundation. I went to Wabisabi in the early evening to make myself some food, and to collect my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, before heading back to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks. I wasn't feeling very good in the evening, and I had a headache, so I went to bed pretty much as soon as I was done going through my notifications, by just after 9:30PM. My headache was still pretty intense by 1:30AM, so unable to sleep, I went to take a hot shower, which definitely helped, after which I went back to bed. I woke up again by about 7:45AM, having slept much better than I expected (and with no more headache), taking some photos up on the lava in the morning light, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House, to do a bit more testing of llama.cpp-fork build and run flags, and to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my numerous important Sunday Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus on some photography for my posts first, and then on a few small jungle-community tasks. 2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
