I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Within an astoundingly short period of time, I've been experiencing some massive and notably challenging changes and shifts in both my life here in this off-grid jungle community, and in my digital life. The first big change was moving my kitchen use from the Landing, which has been a center of operations for me for almost 8 years, to Wabisabi, the new kitchen space which was just built. That change turned out to be for the better. The others, not so much, as I've mostly had to adapt to difficult or undesirable circumstances.

The next very significant shift was me needing to evacuate myself and my technology from the Flow House last week, where I've lived and worked for the past 3.5+ years, due to intense winds and rain, and relocate to the Kasbah, which is a shared community-use space. So I still presently have no personal space, which is quite problematic indeed. I'm going to head back up to the Flow House today to secure another tarp over the top, where it's been leaking onto my bed, and to see what else I can do to make it habitable again.

The third huge change was the disappearance of BeeSwap, the best asset-management interface by far, which threw a major wrench in my daily and weekly asset management endeavors, so much so that I've had to completely change how and how often I do asset management. Sadly it's no longer a quick and easeful process.

Hive-Divider-Green-Rounded-2.png

The fourth very concerning change is what is presently unfolding in the FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software), Linux, and BSD communities, with the coordinated push in the USA and worldwide to require OS-level age-verification requirements enacted on all devices, to be able to use. This is not at all acceptable, and it goes completely against the entire ethos of FOSS and Linux. It's also a foot in the door to complete surveillance and control of our digital lives, removing any and all semblance of anonymity, privacy, autonomy, and self-determination. Sadly, some Linux distributions are already planning to begin implementing age-verification requirements, which is causing a giant schism in the FOSS and Linux world, with about a dozen (so far) Linux and BSD projects standing in resistance to these unlawful 'laws'.

Hive-Divider-Green-Rounded-2.png

Hive-Divider-Green-Rounded-2.png

It gets more insidious, however, because systemd, the default startup and service manager for most Linux distributions, including my beloved Arch Linux, just added the initial code to begin implementing an age-verification infrastructure. It gets even more concerning, because the two most popular desktop environments for Linux, Gnome and KDE Plasma, are moving to remove X11 support, defaulting to Wayland, and making systemd a requirement. So after more than 8 years of happily using KDE Plasma on Arch Linux, I am beginning to get the feeling that I may need to take some preemptive measures before these pernicious changes go into full effect. I may have to do the same thing on my Android phone, as I know that it will be coming there too. These past 2 weeks have not been fun or easy at all, either here in the jungle, or in the digital domain, but I continue forward, as always, the best that I can.

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Kasbah, quite early, since I put off all asset management to the evening, by around 12:30PM, getting a few small jungle-community tasks done first, since I was able to get so many good photos taken in the morning. I was definitely feeling very frazzled and scattered yesterday, so no major work projects were completed, just various small things. I finally went to Wabisabi in the early evening to heat up some leftover food that I had in the fridge, and to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee, before heading back to the Kasbah to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got everything done by around 10PM, and after finishing asset management on my own account, and on @aliveandthriving, I went to bed by just after 11:30PM. I woke up around 6:45AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, finally writing and publishing my very-late goals-and-progress update, getting lost for a bit researching Artix Linux and different init (startup) systems, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Kasbah to write this post. It's now just before 1PM, so it's a great time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Kasbah a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Vote for our @aliveandmmb Witness Node!

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

Hive-Divider-Green-Rounded-3.png

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Vote for @bradleyarrow's Witness Node!

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!

tydynrain, you mined 1.0 🟧 HBIT. If you'd replied to another Hive user, the HBIT would be split: 0.9 to you and 0.1 to them as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. 🏴‍☠️

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.620101034448717, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.
