Regulation Over Ban: Banning Reality Shows Is Never The Solution.
Reality TV shows shouldn't be banned, because it also serves a purpose in the entertainment industry to many , but rather there should be regulations on the shows, especially as regarding their contents in the show. Reality shows can display more educative, information, creative , showcase talent and didactic content , instead of promoting immorality and ill lifestyles, considering the influence this shows hold in the media and life of the young people watching this shows.
I enjoy watching reality TV shows as an adult , especially when I'm not so busy, and I understand they have their good and bad influence in the life of people, especially children,but that doesn't call for a ban or the end of these shows.
Instead of a ban, there should be strong restrictions for kids and teenagers, I believe every parent should have full control of the content their kids watch or pay attention.
As adults we already know that the lifestyles portrayed in these shows are very unrealistic but kids might not see it that way and get misled, children learn from what they watch more.
The love displayed in this TV reality shows are also unreal and interprets love in way that children shouldn't learn or see, most times I also doubt the credibility of this shows , I doubt if they are really reality shows or everyone is given a secret script to give crazy and abnormal contents and attract more views .
The part that I'm solidly against is the promotion of attrocity and immorality in most of this shows, which is also harmful for a growing child.
So, without a government or legal restriction, parents should place a restriction for reality shows, that have no positive impact on kids.
The constant concern of kids and children being influenced negatively by this shows, shouldn't be the reason reality shows should be banned, there are countless TV shows that meant for kids.
As a grown up, the wrong values and messages sent from these TV reality shows can be easily filtered and disregarded , because you have full awareness of the consequences and also know that's a wrong way of life, but when kids are given this chance to watch and see these gutter behavior displayed, they learn and also get the wrong values, such as desperation, constant conflict , drama and unnecessary quest for validations, inappropriate relationship and many more negativity.
Instead of a complete ban of these shows, there should just be a complete restriction by the show organisers and parents at home .
Also, control the rate kids watch this shows on TV and also on the media.
Also to stop promoting immorality in these shows, organisers of these shows can have a rule against certain acts and also penalize those who endulge or display this immoral acts in this shows, this will help reduce the rate certain attitudes are being promoted in this shows.
Reality shows should serve the purpose of entertainment, educating the viewers , showcasing diverse culture and many other positive things.
There are countless positivity that could attract views and not immorality, there should be a penalty for those who sees the show as place misbehave and display immorality, I believe with this penalty those who participate will be conscious of their behavior and viewers.
I think the shows are written and acted towards a rating for business motives. I, for one dont like reality shows and don't give my time to them. Children should be guarded by their parents or elderly relatives when allowed to watch reality shows.
