MODERN DAY SLAVERY; ENSLAVING THE LIVES OF THE COMMONERS AND LOWER CLASS IN 21st CENTURY.

When most people hear the word slavery, what comes to their mind is men on chain, being controlled, beaten or treated like animals like the past.
But then most people in our modern and civilized world are being chained , it's not a physical chain, but then their minds are chained and to most of them it's an ideal life, because the government ignores the fact that modern slavery is being practiced in the society, that's why it keeps prevailing and ruining the lives of people .

In our society today, slavery is being practiced in so many ways and it's being overlooked, because the pattern of slavery only affects the poor and less privileged citizens in the society.
Here are things I consider modern slavery in our society today, and how to eradicate them.

Firstly, the ideas of employing kids as domestic helps and care givers is an act of slavery, it doesn't stop at adults employing kids, they go as far as making this kids hawk and trade to raise money .
They treat this kids like animals, deprive them of education, love and joy of childhood.
The is the highest form of slavery and it's annoying how we pass this kids daily and the government choses to ignore how kids are subjected to hustling at an early age.
Children are deprived of education, sent out to trade under sun and heavy rain, made to live unhealthy and you think this isn't slavery, they go with the disguise of house help , this is modern slavery and not house helps, and is also child abuse.

To eradicate child labour, which is also modern slavery, the government should arrest, detain and punish the individuals that abuse kids and trade them from one city to another. They should be arrested regardless of their class and also provide more homes for less privileged kids.

Secondly, is the deliberate act of underpaying staffs, this is a major and rampant way of modern slavery , and over 60% of workplace enslaves their staffs.
You will find a graduate that have spent years and finance in university being underpaid at their work place.
Paid below minimal wages , given multiple task at work and meant to work under hostile circumstances and at the end of all the suffering they can't boost of a savings.
So many employers, feel that are doing you a favor, but rather enslaving you, by paying you less , below minimal wage, and still given so much task.

I one's told a friend, that shutting down companies that underpay staffs, is a good way to stop exploitation at work place.
If you can't pay staffs, you shouldn't be existing .
To eradicate slaving citizens, in the name of employment, the government should shut down companies that aren't keeping up, if they get serious, they can reopen and pay their workers well enough.

Lastly, forced and early marriage, marriage is lifetime, and every body deserves to make a choice, when it comes to marriage.
Forcing someone into a marriage is like an imprisonment.
What breaks my heart the most, is Early marriage, what business does a child below 18 have with marriage?
Forced and early marriage is a modern slavery, in our world today, I see no reason why kids are forced to marry, given out for marriage so early or forced to an early marriage.
Sending people into early marriage is modern slavery and shouldn't be practiced in this century.

The Nigeria child act prohibits early marriage, especially on children.
I believe more actions should be taken, especially in the northern part of Nigeria, they should arrest men who endulge in marrying children because it affects this kids emotional and mentally.

Child labour, underpaying staffs and early/forced marriage are modern slavery and should be eradicated from our society by all means.
Although it might not be easy to totally eradicate due to classism, ignorance from the government and influencial people who benefit from enslaving others, but I pray an effort is made for the sake of the those enslaved in this modern world.
