I have grown to realize that education and learning goes beyond the classroom, teaching cam always take place outside and inside the school premises.
Most people think teaching is only for educational or academic purpose, I disagree, because teachers also have the duty to inculcate valuable attributes in their students, which include, honesty, consistency, love, respect, being responsible and many more while teaching.
These values are what people look out for before realizing educational qualifications.
Also teachers are great role models to their children in and outside the classroom, so they are authorized to instill positive values outside the classroom.

Have you ever wondered why kids are usually get super excited when they see their teachers outside classroom?
This is because of the way they see their teachers, they picture them as smartest people, as people they should live like, they don't see any wrong in them because they learn from their teachers daily and see them as embodiment of knowledge.
I don't believe that a teachers role should end outside the classroom, I understand the fact that teachers are being paid to work in the classroom and school premises and not outside the school, but then students see their teachers as role models, they see teachers in a very perfect and positive way.
These teachers have the power to instill knowledge on pupils especially when they see them doinyor commiting something that could be harmful to them.
As a teacher who have the best interest of this kidd at heart, it's necessary to correct them inside and outside the school if caught doing wrong.

Growing up seeing our teachers outside the classroom is usually an amazing experience, the laughter and excitement on their faces tells alot, then imagine a scenario where a teacher ignores such kid commiting harm outside the classroom, that is an opportunity to correct and instill the proper knowledge on the kid . Ignoring them at that point is like granting permission to them to keep up with misconduct, but when the teacher stops the child from misbehaving, it sinks faster, the child will take correction really because it's coming from a role model.
Also it's believed in our society, that it requires collective effort to raise a proper child, even as a reasonable adult it's our duty to correct children when they are caught acting wrong and that's for the betterment of our society.
So, the teacher who has more influence than a mere adult has the full right to correct and instill discipline on children, because raising good kids is another way to make our society better and great.
And also this teaches the children will have to understand the importance of being discipline inside and outside the school premises.
A teacher that truly loved his/ her student will derive joy in teaching and instilling discipline on children outside the school premises, because that's an extra job , they aren't paid for.
In conclusion, I believe discipline given to kids by teachers outside the school premises should be calm and gentle, it should come from a place of love and understanding, teachers should watch and manage their temper to avoid hurting the child, because they are responsible for that, not the school.
There is a difference between what teachers want and what a teacher is allowed to do. The duty of a teacher is dependent on what parents and schools permits. If a teacher tries to get involved in their students lives outside the school without the consent of the parents or the school, a teacher could find themselves in serious legal issues regardless of their good intentions.
Hello @van.illa
The role of a teacher is a feeling in our life. Talking about myself, I have learned a lot from my teachers. Learning is not just limited to the classroom when it comes to discipline. Teachers are very important for a better society.
For teachers to be on a safer side outside of the school environment with students, verbal communication is the best option cause some parents are over protective even when their children are at fault.
