Knowing When To Hold On.

I believe that we've all at some point been stubborn because sometimes, you know we are right, sometimes, we don't want to listen to anyone else, and sometimes, for sure, we just don't want to give up on life

I think that sometimes my stubbornness has served me well, and other times too, it has made things difficult for me, but as you can see, they both have taught me something in life.

There was a time when I was finding myself in a lot of uncertainty, I had many reasons to give up on myself, I felt like I should just quit trying on stuff, and also I had many people telling me what I should do, and when you listen to all those opinions, sometimes you get even more confused.

But I was stubborn at a certain point

I just told myself, "I'm going to keep on going, I said to myself "No, I'm going to keep on Pushing

And looking back at it, I am thankful that I was stubborn at that time, even when I was tired I continued to push, but when things were not moving as fast as I wanted them to, I didn't think that I was failing, I was said it's just a setback

That was a stubborn approach that worked!

It has made me realize that sometimes you have to have faith in yourself, when no one else knows what you're doing, and that not all advice is bad, sometimes you know yourself and your situation better than anyone else.

However, in another suitation, my stubbornness did nothing but cause me trouble.

I knew there was something wrong, but I couldnt take step back, I tries to make it work.

People would say, "Well, you need to do it another way.

And I would be like, "No, I know what I'm doing."

Yet on the inside, I knew that they were probably right, I just didn't want to accept that, I think sometimes our pride becomes an act of stubborn, We tell ourselves we are being strong and not giving in when in fact, we are just saying to ourselves, "I'm not going to accept that something needs to change.

That's where being stubborn can be an issue.

There's a difference between giving up and turning around.

One motivates you to move.
The other one can leave you in the rut.

That experience has taught me to listen more, not always do everything that people are telling me to do, but to at least listen to them, sometimes you might not know something because you're too emotional about it.

To me, being stubborn is not a bad thing in some areas, in fact, it is that thing that can help you to get through situations when you need it the most, you need that "I will not give up" attitude when things are difficult.

But I have learned that stubbornness requires wisdom, know when to hold on and know when to let go.

Be able to know when to persist and when to move on, as what you have to survive one situation may make another situation difficult.

So I don't like to be stubborn for the sake of it, if I believe something and I know it's worth fighting for, then yes, I will probably be very stubborn about it, but if I am wrong I hope I am smart enough to admit it.

After all, when you know you were going the wrong way, there's no harm in changing your mind on that direction.
