[EN/PT-BR] Less green and more pollution.

Pollution is always a delicate subject, after all, we need to evolve and create more, build more and progress usually demands that we will spend more energy and, with that, more pollution in the world. But, reducing this scale a little, I would like to share about how pollution in the neighborhood where I live also affects me. The place where I currently live is very simple, it is a well-known and old area, nothing too amazing, but I can say that I really feel the pollution there and, since I have lived in the same place for 16 years, I have seen that a lot has changed for the worse in this regard.

In the past, the green area was much larger, it was noticeable that there were many more trees, grass, flowers, all of this was very prominent in my neighborhood, but over the years, I noticed that this has been decreasing in a way that was noticeable. Of course, they did not eliminate all the green areas, but I can say that they have really decreased. As a result, the heat increases, the pollution, the thermal sensation, these points end up being altered due to deforestation and the progress that the area needed.

This progress, for example, is not due to large industries or machinery. Quite the opposite. What happened was the clearing of several places that were not inhabited, precisely for the construction of housing complexes. So, at first, you have fires on the lots, a lot of smoke and the thermal sensation increases. Then, with the construction of houses or condominiums, the pollution caused by man, by the people who live there, increases. So, whether it's garbage or emissions from more cars and motorcycles, where there are more people, there is more pollution. This is a fact nowadays. I think that, at first, this is what I saw most happening in the neighborhood where I have lived for so long.

Pollution, along with the cutting down of trees and the reduction of green areas, is a chronic problem in many places around the world. It doesn't matter if it's a trendy city or just a neighborhood in some city in Brazil. We have more and more people who need more places to live and, as a result, green areas are disappearing and buildings and houses are starting to appear in their place. With this, the increase in cars and the amount of trash produced by people, their bad attitudes, their behavior without caring about nature, all of this is transforming the environment into a more polluted place.

With this, the air quality, the heat, the thermal sensation, the lack of rain, the water quality, all of this is interconnected, I can say that I am seeing more gray than green in my neighborhood. The actions to reverse this are complicated, they depend a lot on each person, on each one doing the right thing and I don't know if there is an attitude created only by the people of the neighborhood, I believe that it is the city hall that has to encourage or carry out some project and work there in that place. That way, it is more the responsibility of each person to do the right thing.

I miss when I moved to my neighborhood 16 years ago, where everything was greener, less busy, but progress is coming and with it new people, new housing, so we are just going to burn down some abandoned, unowned land and build more houses and things like that, that is more or less what happens. The attitudes of people who love nature need to be equivalent and good too. Despite all the difficulties, each person needs to do their part and encourage those around them to do the same.

A poluição é sempre um tema delicado, afinal, precisamos evoluir e criar mais, construir mais e o progresso geralmente demanda que iremos gastar mais energia e, com isso, mais poluição no mundo. Mas, diminuindo um pouco essa escala, gostaria de compartilhar sobre como a poluição no próprio bairro onde moro também me afeta. O lugar onde moro atualmente é bem simples, é um setor conhecido e antigo, nada de muito incrível, mas posso dizer que sinto muito a poluição que tem nele e, como moro no mesmo lugar há 16 anos, vi que muita coisa mudou para pior nessa questão.

Antigamente, a área verde era muito maior, era notável que existiam muito mais árvores, grama, flores, tudo isso era bem destacado no meu bairro, mas com o passar dos anos, notei que isso foi diminuindo de uma forma que era perceptível. Claro que não acabaram com todas as áreas verdes, mas posso dizer que elas realmente diminuíram. Com isso, o calor aumenta, a poluição, a sensação térmica, estes pontos acabam sendo alterados por conta do desmatamento e do progresso que o setor precisava.

Esse progresso, por exemplo, não são grandes industrias ou maquinários, muito pelo contrário, o que aconteceu foi a limpeza de vários lugares que não eram habitados, justamente para construção de conjuntos de moradia, então a princípio você tem fogo nos lotes, muita fumaça e a sensação térmica que aumenta, depois com a construção das casas ou condomínios, o aumento da poluição causada pelo homem, com as pessoas que ali moram. Então, seja o lixo ou emissões de mais automóveis e motos, onde há mais pessoas, há mais poluição, isso é um fato atualmente. Acho que, ao princípio, isso é o que mais vi acontecer no bairro onde moro há tanto tempo.

A poluição, juntamente com o corte de árvores e diminuição de áreas verdes é um problema crônico em vários lugares do mundo, não importa se é uma cidade badalada ou somente um bairro qualquer em alguma cidade do Brasil, cada vez mais temos mais pessoas que precisam de mais lugares para morar e com isso, as áreas verdes vão sumindo para que no lugar prédio e casas comecem a aparecer. Com isso, o aumento de automóveis e do lixo produzido pelas pessoas, as atitudes ruins delas, o seu comportamento realizado sem se preocupar com a natureza, tudo isso vai transformando o ambiente em um lugar mais poluído.

Com isso, a qualidade do ar, o calor, a sensação térmica, a falta de chuvas, a qualidade da água, tudo isso está interligado, posso dizer que estou vendo mais cinza do que verde no meu bairro. As ações para reverter isso são complicadas, dependem muito de cada pessoa, de cada um fazer o certo e uma atitude criada somente pelas pessoas do bairro não sei dizer se existe, acredito que nisso é a prefeitura que tem que incentivar ou realizar algum projeto e trabalho ali naquele lugar. Dessa forma, fica mais com a responsabilidade de cada pessoa fazer o certo.

Sinto saudades de quando mudei para o meu bairro há 16 anos, onde tudo era mais verde, menos movimentado, mas o progresso vai chegando e com ela novas pessoas, novas habitações, então somente vamos queimar alguns terrenos sem dono, abandonados e vamos criar mais casas e coisas do tipo, é mais ou menos isso que acontece. As atitudes das pessoas que amam a natureza precisam ser equivalentes e boas também. Apesar de toda a dificuldade, é preciso que cada um faça realmente a sua parte e incentive os próximos a si de fazer o mesmo.
