My big sister would always hammer on and emphasise the importance of going to the hospitals to do checkups and at least to know our health status but I never saw it as something to just wake up and then off to the hospital because I was always fine and why do I need to go to the hospital? At a point, she suggested that she would go through a program and pay the bills for us so we could always observe checkups once every six months, but I just didn't bother about it. I never committed to going to the hospital.
Maybe because I wasn't used to it, or there was no time to do that. A lot of us are in this latter category because the truth is, everyone is always occupied with lots of things, especially in finding means of how to survive.
Most people forget their health and only focus on making ends meet, chasing after the bag and career that, in the end, leaves them stressed and broken down, in this case, and when such has affected their health, they think of the hospital as the only option. This is to say that our bodies have limits and can break down at a certain point we don't really expect.
It took me a long time to finally go one day when she insisted I must because of my sickness then. Thankfully, she paid the bills, and I was okay, then moved on with my life and ignored the importance of visiting the hospital even when nothing was wrong with me. I do not take it as something necessary also because I've relied on self-medication and herbs when I'm sick and they helped chase my illness off until a few years back that going to the hospital has become a part of me, at least to some certain level because I would prefer being given drips and injections than taking drugs.
This wasn't my fault but how I was brought up. I've said this in my post before how we were all given birth to in a church and till we grew up, we never stepped into any hospital because mom was an expert in combining herbs to be effective, all thanks to her knowledge about it.
All through last year, the only time I visited a clinic for a check-up was around August, when I had some pains in my teeth, and I went for a treatment where they attended to all the sets. I was relieved and that was it. Aside from that, it's been a long time since I went for a check-up to confirm the status of my health. Seriously, I wasn't sick all through last year, thanks to my strong body.
One thing I believe in is that once you are eating the right meal and not stressing yourself, your health won't give you a problem and these are some of the things I do because I am always mindful and conscious of my health. Though I don't like going to the hospital, I am more than careful with how I handle and take care of my health because it is very important to be healthy to do other things.
I have read and heard how important it is to take care of our health and the tips to do that, some of them I practice like engaging in fitness exercises, eating the right nutrients, not overworking myself etc, I make sure I do these because one thing that gingers me is that if I can't visit the hospital, at least I can try to do these simple tips and be okay. When I need to rest, I do that without forcing myself which could lead to body breakdown.
Undoubtedly, going for checkups is very important, and we must make sure we do it in the hospital amidst our busyness and keep our health status intact and safe because when there is good health, there is a tendency to live longer and healthier except God says, "It's time to come home." 😀

One cannot overrule the importance of going for routine check ups. It helps prevent a lot of emergency cases that might have risen, if one hadn't done so.
Yes, that's very true. Checkups are very important for one's health.
Till a certain age we might not find the importance of health check as a major issue. But once you cross 50, I think its a must dear. One after the other keeps peeping up.. .
Thank you very much, ma.
I also think that's the age one needs to take checkups seriously
Yes dear. It becomes compulsory. It's my own experience.
That's not for a doubt... If you can on your own live a healthy life and maintain a good lifestyle, it's still more or less a routine check up because honestly, those are the same advice you'll be given after routine checkups in the hospital but nonetheless, it won't be a bad option to visit even if it's once in a year I mean, there's still need for a professionalism in the field I guess
You are right ✅️
Checkups are so important.
We just need to be thankful for good health because some people feed done more than us but still go through some health challenges.
You are right. Being grateful for good health is essential.
And just like you, I don't see myself visiting the hospital even when I'm sick I try to find alternatives at home. I just hope that we don't get into trouble with this sooner than later.
Yes oo. That's more reason we need to visit the hospital at least even if once in 6 months or a year.
See as body sweet me to see someone walking in my lane 😅.
But, I really want to join the other gang that do monthly checkup. The money should come
Hahaha 😀
Money is the problem
Thank you for the curation.
I think we don't bother ourselves by going for a full body checkup unless we become sick. I know that a full body checkup after some months is a good thing but the cost of a full body checkup is not little also. In my country, a little family can spend one month using the money for a time full body checkup. So, even if it's necessary, we don't dare to do it unless we are forced to.
The cost is very high and that's one of the reasons people do not want to go for it. They'd prefer to spend the money on food than their health. But when one has the time or chance to, it's important.
I don't like going to the hospital too, I've only gone because I took my dad there cause why I'm I looking for
This has always been my thought
Nevertheless what is right is to check our body when needed.
Staying healthy as you have rightly said is very important as well,
Omo this topic is just a full warning to me
Hehehe. A full warning to us all, not to take our health for granted.
You said right dear. Timely checkup would save us from major health problem.
