The Power of Light: How Hive Helped Me Achieve My Solar Goal

At the beginning of this year, I wrote down a goal in my book, one I wanted so badly which was getting a solar system to power light for me 24/7 without interruption. Today, I am excited that I finally achieved that goal and already ticked off my list for the year. The sadness slowly creeps away because everywhere becomes bright, and you can see things clearly and do things you'd piled up.

For me, light isn't just about illumination; it's about inspiration. When there's power, I get the motivation to work, even into the late hours. But when there’s none, I often find myself going to bed early because everything just feels empty inside. I love light. A place without light feels boring.

Most times, I feel like being active online, but the lack of electricity drains that enthusiasm. To cope, I got two power banks to keep me going. Yet, the constant need to go out and charge my phone was frustrating. Some days, I wouldn’t even feel like stepping out, but the moment I realized my phone’s battery wouldn’t last me a few more hours, I had no choice. Slowly, I’d grab my small bag with my chargers and gadgets, step out, and wait. A few hours later, the joy of seeing my phone and power banks fully charged is priceless. Knowing they’d last me a few days gave me a sense of relief.

When the power goes out, my solar will always be there, ready to keep my room bright and my solar-powered fan? It will keep running as long as there’s sunlight to charge my panel. Imagine putting on the fan whenever you want and not being limited by the lack of electricity; such a soft life! 😃
