Today's generation was born with a cell phone in their hands and are very easy to use. However, not everyone knows about the negative effects of this use, and it would be very interesting if schools adopted this type of knowledge, why not? Yes, I believe that learning about social media is as important as learning math, geography and biology. The era we live in is linked to technology, and if people are being trained for life, they need to understand this too. It's a way of preventing future negative effects and creating a more aware society.

It may sound a bit silly, but think about it: if social networks represent a danger and this danger comes from excessive use and lack of knowledge, shouldn't we instruct these young people to identify this? However, I think that this kind of knowledge goes much further than just preventing something. Social networks can be a gateway to many opportunities. And why not exploit this current trend and train citizens who have the skills to undertake, work and use social media not just to spend time and get hooked on short content, but also to look for opportunities?

The point is that, today, anyone can become a professional on social media, but not everyone has this vision. If schools took advantage of this generation's interest to create dynamics that changed the way they see things, this would certainly change the scenario. Interest in this type of knowledge could be a trigger for many to develop and seek opportunities, seeing the world differently. Schools would certainly have an important impact on changing the mentality of their students.

Schools play a huge social role in society and, perhaps, they are using a type of teaching and knowledge that is outdated and obsolete in some respects, which is not entirely in line with today's reality. The teaching method is the same as it was 30 or 40 years ago, but the world is different. So why keep things as they were when the world is different? Of course, we can't give up the essential knowledge that everyone should have, but it's clear that important subjects need to be added. Not just knowledge about social networks, their negative effects and the tools that are available there, but also other subjects such as programming, financial education, first aid and administration. We know that the subjects taught are important, but there are so many other equally relevant subjects being ignored.

The world we live in today is different, and we can never have too much knowledge. I would never be against a school that went outside the box and taught its students important things. We can't ignore the fact that social media is as embedded in our lives as math, science and other core subjects. So are we simply going to allow more and more people to graduate without this kind of knowledge?

O interesse por esse tipo de conhecimento poderia ser um gatilho para que muitos se desenvolvessem e buscassem oportunidades, vendo o mundo de outra forma. As escolas com certeza teriam um impacto importante para a mudança de mentalidade de seus alunos.

A escola tem um papel social muito grande na sociedade e, talvez, esteja empregando um tipo de didática e conhecimento ultrapassado e obsoleto em alguns aspectos, que não condiz totalmente com a realidade atual. O método de ensino é o mesmo de 30 ou 40 anos atrás, mas o mundo está diferente. Então, por que manter as coisas como eram se o mundo é outro? Claro, não podemos abrir mão dos conhecimentos essenciais que todos devem ter, mas é evidente que matérias importantes precisam ser adicionadas.
