Imagine a scenario where the average business can not just advertise but everyone can get access to the cheaper products not minding what they sell. Have you realized that no matter how hard things are, there are still people who sell cheap what you buy expensively in the same city you are in, And the fun fact is because these people have a form of access you do not have. The question of where to meet these people becomes a major problem, as a lot of them do not know where they are and a lot of these people do not really know how to market themselves the way the expensive ones do. I know this because I got a really nice quality shirt from my colleague who buys at factory price and sells at wholesale price for 13,000 naira and saw that same quality in a small boutique for 25,000 naira which to a lot of people is normal for that quality of shirt. But then if people can have direct access to the factory, or at least the wholesaler of that product, a lot of people will not be able to inflate the prices of this commodity by much.

But what if I could get a network of small authentic businesses. Start with factories and link them with wholesalers, the final consumer will be able to get the products they buy at a cheaper rate in comparison to what they have been buying. What if there was a way to influence the market positively and help the average man while making profit from it. The profit does not have to be much, it just needs to be many, and this is why my idea is to use advertising as a way of creating a network of producers/manufacturers, wholesalers, and logistic companies creating a cheaper version of what we know as Ali Express. We can create an even better version of it, because unlike Ali express, we are creating a network of trusted/verified manufacturers. This isn’t a marketplace where people just hop in to sell anything, this is a market place where only trusted manufacturers can come showcase their products.

The idea is not to get the big brands out of the market, but to create real competition for them with the kind of advertisement that we are going to be doing. The manufacturers register with us with a little token, which is used to start advertisements, while we get commissions based on every wholesaler that buys from them. Then we will have the wholesale market where we get the final consumers to buy from the wholesalers at a very reasonable price. The more this network expands, the more our marketing becomes easier and the society can trust us as that one marketplace to get affordable and quality resources. Menh my imaginations are running wild imagining myself giving a sales pitch, I know I will definitely do more than this as I would be breaking down a lot of things, and given that the idea isn’t just to make money but to cause a real change, I think it should sell.
