THE LIGHT AHEAD OF MY FAILURE

THE LIGHT AHEAD OF MY FAILURE

Good day my fellow hiveian
I would like to share with you my opinion about a particular topic which says "Blessings in disguise"

I remembered when I was in my last year in senior secondary School, It was my first time of sitting for JAMB (Joint Admission Matriculation Board), I and a friend were the only individual who sat for the exam before our WAEC ,most teacher's believed we will be given admission offer to the University that year (especially our CRS Teacher) but the otherwise was the case. When our WAEC results came out and we have to sit for another one,I felt bad because my JAMB result was good but from my mum's end she was not financially buoyant at that time to tend or cater to the fee of my choice Institution that year.

Though, My Dad had always wanted me to study at the Prestigious University of Ibadan before his death, and since I was unable to gain admission at my initial choice Institution I opted for The University of Ibadan the second time.

I have heard people talk about how excellent you need to be academically before you can be offered admission to the said university, how devoted you need to be to your studies, how smart you must be while studying, that one will not just study hard but also study smart and even if you have all of this qualities and more you might still not be offered admission.

A deep breath was all I could do when I was told all this! While I started tutorial that year,I told myself ''You have been at home for years now while some of your mate are already in the university in their 2nd or 3rd Year as the case may be.''

''I also asked myself Do you want to stay at home this year again?''
And I also asked a colleague at the tutorial center why they choose the university as their first choice and they replied boldly that they can do it,I was like you mean you can write the exam and you will be offered admission? they replied in the Affirmative.

I summoned the courage that I can be better than them, Hence i was Motivated! This are students I know they are more academically fine than me because I'm actually an average student, My English prowess is not top-notch but yet I believed in myself.

I gave my all towards the preparation for the exam, I tried my best,I studied hard through the help of my tutor who equipped reading habit in me and my friends who taught me every knowledge I need to obtain.

I sat for the exam and it happened!
Yes, it happened...
Well I did not meet up with the cut off mark not even the average score of the school.

It was my best friend who checked the result and told me,I felt bad, I cried, I wasn't happy not only because I didn't meet up to the University requirements but also I felt I should have done more or even better.
I was demotivated, I felt I was not going to attempt sitting for any exams any more.

I felt terrible at this moment even when I got to know that my friends were given admission but not the course that they wanted to study.

This scenario turned out to be a great thing on my part.

You May ask how?

Alright, my mum boss intervened in the situation by suggesting I sit for another post utme in one of the University of Ibadan affiliated campus's.
She paid for the post utme form.
I sat for the exam and I was offered admission.
And since then she has being the one sponsoring my education, her reason for this is that she said she realized I loved education, I am willing and open to learn. I can say my mum do not have the capability of the amount my fees are here in this school, Coupled with the fact that I'm not the only one she will be paying her school fees for.

This experience made me realize that even when one give all to something and it doesn't yield the result we want we should never relent! we should never back off!

When our mate are doing well or they are ahead of us us we should always learn to wait for our time, just as the saying goes Our Timing's are Different
I never knew there is was Blessing for me despite the fact that I failed in the examination but made me succeed in another with an opportunity for a scholarship

My mates whom we did the exams back then just resumed for 200 level while I'm already in 300 level and the most amazing thing is that we all would be getting same certificate's.

Little did I know God was planning a blessing for me all through the period I was going through all.

I have learnt to allow God's plan to always supersede mine because I have come to realize that his plan for me is of good and is promises for me is amazing!

This is my experience that I have always been thankful for because it's indeed a blessing to me.
I hope you learnt something from my experience
Thank you for stopping by.

If you passed the first exam and gained admission, maybe the burden would have been on your mum. But God has his ways of doing things. Scholarship followed the admission you got later. It's a blessing my sister.

It would have a burden and only God knows how hard it will be for her and then he make a way more beautiful than I imagined
It indeed a blessing.
Thank you for stopping by.

This is a perfect example of there being another opportunity when one door closes, which was better than the original plan.

Keep believing and giving your best in everything you do:)
