Sometimes I go deep in thought remembering when we could still spend kobo to buy some little things, and to think that people still complained of difficult times then, not knowing the dire situation the future holds, we are not living in that future I bet people thought was impossible, the economy of the country has taken a bad turn that even the current smallest determination can afford nothing and that kobo we spent then has become useless, even the Genz kids of today don't know what that currency looks like.

As humans, there are basic needs of life that a common man should be able to afford as long as they work to earn a living but these days working to meet up those needs is just like choking the air out I your lungs because of the exorbitant rate everything has become in the country, take housing for instance, living in a room apartment in a more developed area now cost millions of naira, including other additional and unnecessary charges, you would think moving to the underdeveloped area is any better but no it didn't, yea the rent might be a slightly lower cost compared to the city, but we have challenges of bad roads and long distance to our workplace which therefore makes us spend much more on transport fare, that when added together for a year, it's as same as getting the expensive apartment close to the city.

The reason saving becomes a difficult task to do a family, many families have been left frustrated, which has led to divorce, while some lose their spouse's death or illnesses caused by the stress they pass through to meet all of these demands, some other couples can't live in peace, arguments every day which would most likely as a result of financial issues, much pressure has made some dad run away from their responsibilities, leaving the mother to suffer it all, while the couples that put in their all to beat this challenging period hardly have personal moments with their kid, every family is affected one way or the other.

What about feeding, the worst of it all, one can hardly cook a well-balanced meal for oneself and one family, because of the high cost of food items, Imagine spending more than 10k to feed a family for just one day and this is still on a management level. It's so saddening that with our rants and complaints, things still end up getting worse every day, making all hope for a better Nigeria get distinguished as all hope is lost now, the reason why most citizens of my dear country are migrating to other countries for greener pastures

In conclusion, the government needs to address these issues to create a more sustainable and prosperous future for our country. Until then, many Nigerians will continue to struggle to survive in a system that seems stacked against them.
