Does Regulating Sugar Put A Stop On Harmful Intake?

Seeing how we all joke around our health mostly cause for alarm and it is no longer funny to say we turned our health to be a kite play.

Back in the days when our forefathers would live long, grow so old and toothless with less illness records. Unlike our era where diabetes, obesity and so many other illness caused by the excess intake of sugar had caused people to live shorter lives and even die in their primes when there's no adequate attention and care to their health.

I'm not a medical practitioner to know so much but as an average person, I know that excess of everything is bad. Now, there is a problem there too. How do we know it's becoming excess? What if I decided to stay away from anything that contains sugar and do sugar fasting or how do the weight-loss journey say it?

I learnt from someone someday, when she was talking about her check-up result in the hospital. She was told she needed to take in enough sugar because her sugar level is low.
Wow! It was a shock to me because all I've ever learnt to decode in my head is the fact that you need to stay away from sugary foods or drinks so it doesn't cause harm to your health but I never knew it could become an issue if it is not of a certain level in the body as well.

You know, just like they would speak of high blood pressure that it must not be high and it must not be too low. You feel we're at crossroads right? Maybe or Maybe Not.
We all know what we eat mostly end up to be glucose, like rice, yam, or anything carbohydrates. So the rate at which we take these food in a week or month should give us a clue about how much sugar we have consumed so far. Not considering yet, the carbonated drinks we take and some people could actually take 3 or 4 in a day (shocking right?).

So should sugar be regulated like alcohol? Absolutely YES. If our system can be able to work it out then it will be a meaningful thing to do.
Just imagine walking up to a store and you want to pick a pack of snacks or something, and at the footer side of the pack is the indication of the sugar percentage in the snacks you're about to buy with your money. At that point in time, you have the choice to buy something that would put your health in harm's way or skip it and move over to another thing.

For someone like me who wouldn't go near picking an alcoholic wine as soon as I see 0.1% alcohol, I will be able to do that too when I see a labeled food that contains too much sugar.

If only it could work out and people can always be mindful of their sugar intake so that at the end of the day, we don't end up spending the money we are meant to use for other purposes on health matters that could have been avoided.

However, the fact still remains that even if sugar is regulated just like alcohol, you will still see people buying a 100% sugary food, drinks or snacks. Cigarette has this one label of "smokers are liable to die young" but still, this doesn't stop smokers from increasing every day by day and cigarettes making more sales in the market.

That is to show us that even when all is done to prevent humans from harming ourselves, the choice of living healthy or not still lies with us.

Yes sugar should be regulated. Honestly, have once witnessed it once and that's from my dad how he was told once that he need to drink someone sweet because his sugar level is low but not too much that will cause damage to his healthy.

Exactly. When they said it is low, it still doesn't interpret to taking it excessively. These things just need moderation, seriously speaking.

The teuth is that too much of everything becomes poison. We do need some percentage of sugar in our body to function well, but we should know when to not cross our body's threshold. We should all try to read through labels and know the sugar percentage level of every product we are consuming.

Poison o. Maybe when we use that word then we can be conscious of how we take it.
Reading through those labels is like reading T&C. We think it's too long but it withholds what binds and loose us
