Portraits of Silvio Rodríguez (Part One) | PhotoFeed Contest Portrait Photography Round 152 [EN-ES]

This weekend I had the privilege of meeting Silvio Rodríguez, an iconic singer-songwriter of the trova movement, in three different places. I say international because, despite being Cuban, I've seen countless times that his lyrics resonate with people of many different nationalities. This has sometimes made me think that his lyrics are embraced with more passion outside of Cuba than here on the island.

Today I bring you these portraits that I was able to take of him in a very close and relaxed, friendly and smiling atmosphere.

Portraits that were taken in two spaces that I will talk about in future posts, but that I didn't want to miss the opportunity to evoke now, taking advantage of the initiative that @photofeed is giving us this week.

Here, Silvio had the courtesy to speak attentively with several troubadours and writers, among whom I had the privilege of being present.

I took these portraits moments before, in another room, when I was exchanging with one of the attending photographers and he was detailing some photos that were shown to him.

There was a special moment I also want to share with you, and that's when several troubadours took a group photo with him. A moment where their faces displayed a rainbow of emotions.

And so, with her knowing glance towards us, I say goodbye for now, but not before sending each of you a hug of light!

Este fin de semana he podido contar con el privilegio de coincidir en tres espacios diferentes con Silvio Rodríguez, icónico cantautor de la trova a nivel internacional. Digo internacional pues, a pesar de ser cubano, he podido comprobar en innumerables ocasiones, que las letras de sus canciones son cobijadas por personas de disímiles nacionalidades. Hecho que a veces ha propiciado piense que fuera de mi país se reciban sus letras con más pasión que acá en la isla.

Hoy les traigo estos retratos que pude hacerle de manera bien cercana y con un clima distendido, afable y sonriente.

Retratos que fueron capturados en dos espacios de los que hablaré en próximas publicaciones, pero que ahora no quería perder la oportunidad de evocar aprovechando la iniciativa que @photofeed nos hace en esta semana.

Acá, tuvo Silvio la deferencia de dialogar, de modo atento, con varios trovadores y escritores, entre los que tuve el privilegio de estar presente.

Estos retratos los hice momentos antes, en otra sala, cuando intercambiaba con uno de los fotógrafos asistentes y él detallaba unas fotos que le mostraron.

Hubo un momento especial que tampoco quiero dejar de compartirles y es este, cuando varios trovadores se hicieron una foto colectiva junto a él. Instante donde los rostros mostraban un arcoíris de emociones.

Y así, con su mirada cómplice hacia nosotros, me voy despidiendo por ahora, no sin antes enviarles a cada uno de ustedes ¡un abrazo de luz!
