I'd say that my office window is low-key a photography studio. In fact a content goldmine. And I can't be any luckier. Lol.

Honestly, I’ve lost count of the photos and videos I’ve shot of everyday Azikiwe Road moments from my office window - the buzzling, hustling, candid moments, shadows and more. Some of them I've shared here on Hive. That's what this is about.

I've written before that the ground floors of most buildings along Azikiwe road aren’t for living. They’re warehouses. Fabric houses, mostly.

So, seeing container truck of fabrics being offloaded, buyers clustered around, pricing, arguing, dragging bundle and all, have become a trend around here.

However, it was a totally different scene on the day I captured this shot. Wednesday before Easter. Long holiday coming: Friday to Monday. And it felt like somebody organized an offloading marathon for the warehouses here. Lol.

From Azikiwe road by Adazi street down to George's street, both sides of the road were lined with trucks, lorries, containers - whatever they're called. As if on cue, the church opposite wasn't left out of the chaos. They pulled out all their coaster buses into the street. Gosh!

Then the fabric buyers added to the chaos. They looked like swarm of bees, buzzing all over. From my office, I could hear almost all of them speaking at the top of their voices while trying to get the attention of the person giving out numbers that'd be used for the allotment. Some could be heard making a call across to their friends to quickly come over.

Looking out for each other! That's one of their business code that I admire.

Even the uniform men were on patrol. At the end, a fat envelop follows them back. It is what it is!

From around 7:00AM WAT when the fabrics were being offloaded till past 4:00PM WAT, when I closed from work, the buzz was still on.

Maybe it was the Easter break. Maybe every importer wanted to clear goods before the city shut down. I don’t know. But that day Azikiwe Road wasn’t a road. It was one long warehouse.
