Gonna be an even shorter post that usual today. After a lot of scrambling around and not much response from my inlaws, it looks like our family fantasy football league is finally going to be done. I was keen on keeping it going if someone else was going to be willing to take the reins. It appears that isn't the case.
My one brother in law said he was not interested in playing this year. My other brother in law said he only wanted to play if people were going to take it seriously. Given the fact that four members of the league are under the age of 18 and that everyone has busy lives they need to take care of, there was zero chance I could guarantee that.
So I sent another message out to the group and let them know that we probably wouldn't be having a league this year. Oddly enough, not a single person replied back expressing their sadness things happened the way they did. That speaks volumes to me.
Don't get me wrong, I think they enjoyed it, but after a while it just became a bit tedious and as I said, we all have busy lives, so letting something like this go wasn't that big of a deal for most of them. The one thing I really like about fantasy football is it gets you watching more teams than just your favorites. When you have players on those teams you don't usually watch, it makes you a little more interested.
In a funny turn of events, my brother in law from the other side of the family asked me if there was a spot in our league for him this year. It appears his stuff must be falling apart too. I let him know that we weren't having a league, but if he found a spot and they had room for me to let me know.
I even tried finding something here on HIVE that I might join in on, but it doesn't appear anyone is doing anything like that. It might be kind of cool to start a HIVE fantasy football league with some kind of buy in, but then people would have to potentially doxx themselves signing up for a platform like Yahoo, CBS, ESPN, or whatever to manage the team. Sure, they could use a dedicated email address, but how many people want yet another email address to manage.
So, as of right now it looks like I won't be able to bring you my fantasy recap each week. I know many of you are crying over that aren't you!
Maybe I will get lucky and find a place to land. We will see...

That's a shame... I think family things are great, we might not want to do something but common courtesy to me is to say something and not nothing.
I would join in one, I do fantasy football well soccer to you here on Hive, but fun to do american football. Does @geneeverett do something...
It’s like pulling teeth getting 32 or 16 people in Hive to pay into a contest. We had someone running it since 2016 or 2017. @summertooth took over past two years aftee whoever did it prior stopped being active here. Unfortunately he’s totally left Hive now too. I don’t think I wanna even bother doing something that needs 32 spots.
🏈 But I’ll certainly be doing my weekly Ten Player Pool’s for Monday Or Sunday Night Foorball 👍. Simple and separate weekly fun.
I will consider doing a season long contest, just worried we won’t get 32 players or close to it.
I’ll tag some peeps and get sims opinions.

Unfortunately I’ve been muted by buggedout and was kicked outta the SGS discord by him for being a wise ass 😂. I thought he was just joking but I can’t even re join group now months later so I can’t even promote the #SilverGoldStackers metals guessing game I do there.let alone sports stuff. Kinda silly but bottom line that discord has 90% of the people who would do a season long pool and I can’t promote there unfortunately.

I will definitely do boxes for Super Bowl if @summertooth isn’t back though! & Weekly Ten Player Pools! Just wasn’t keen on running a 32 spot season long pool but if there’s interest I’d consider it for sure! Especially if someone would maybe consider helping. 🏈
