Look up! The sky looked magical yesterday!

Weird clouds and colorful skies

For weeks, I’ve been witnessing the strangest clouds up in the sky, wondering why I never saw anything similar in all my life before. Usually, when I see them, we’re driving and taking pictures results in looking at horrible quality pictures once home. Yesterday, we accidentally stepped out on the wrong floor with the elevator after doing our groceries. I didn’t realize we were at the wrong parking area until I stepped outside and saw this colorful sky above us. Funnily, I wouldn’t have seen it if we didn’t take the wrong exit because it was not visible on the other side of the building, so I guess I have to thank the universe for this beautiful view I had for a few minutes.

Another mold issue

The past few days have been busy for many reasons, first, we discovered a horrible mold under our freaking bed! They thought it was a good idea to place a bed you can lift up with storage under the wooden board. It’s ideal they said, we disagree and took a mental note never to buy any bed like this in our life. We opened the bottom layer of black fabric to see the damage and I opened the bed every day while working next to it at my desk. I can only say I wonder if the fumes took a hit on my brain because it was not pleasant to sit there. I got tired of it and discussed if we were better off fixing this ourselves instead of again having to bother the landlord, who yet has to fix the issue with our doorbell first. So my boyfriend took off the full black layer, to let it breathe and we unloaded everything under the bed. Read: I sat in between piles of pillows and other crap we aren’t using that came with the house as well as 2 filled suitcases and some other stuff we stored under it. Not ideal for one’s creativity, let me tell you! It was a bit complicated to reach all areas but my boyfriend managed to get the job done. We’re getting 5 babies tomorrow!

I got a request to take care of the 5 most adorable kitten furbabies from this weekend for just a few weeks until they move to the new families. All of them are already adopted so we will function as a halfway home because the current caretaker needs room for more complex cases. Sadly, many kittens are currently being dumped and need medical attention too. When she mentioned it would be 5 kittens, I was secretly hoping that I knew which ones would come our way. I saw them being offered on FB a few weeks ago and was like “Awwwhhh, I want this one and that one” when I saw how adorable they were. Tiny little Mochies! Now we will be taking care of them for a few weeks and not just one, but all 5 of them. I can’t wait to show pictures! Luckily for us, our very first batch of kittens to foster will contain 5 pretty girls/boys.

Bedroom change

After cleaning the bed and making sure the floor was clear of toys and such, I suddenly had a clear view of how the bedroom could be arranged much better, giving us more space. I asked my boyfriend if he thought it would fit and he said it should fit so we made it happen. This is the first time that I fully agree with how things are placed, lol. It took us only so many months. The first change was because I got so annoyed that I could not open the window without having to climb on the bunk bed. They placed the bed there and there was no way to open it properly, so I moved it to the other side of the wall but that meant the cold wind from the air conditioner was blowing on her bed, so not ideal. I fixed that by hanging a sheet or blanket in front of that part of the bed, lol. Felt like she was camping! Now we had to decide where the litterbox, small scratching post, and the bed for the kittens would be placed and suddenly I have all this room around me. Ideal!

We are so excited, tomorrow before noon we will pick them up and on top of that we also found another apartment in the next city to check out with 3 bedrooms and cheaper than the one we rent now, and most important: a balcony! If the universe is on our side, we might end up having a very exciting month ahead. Please send us luck 😃
